Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy can be brought to TFM

Remember the Music Director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the music directors of Kamal Hassan's Alavandhaan. They seem to be missing in the Tamil scene for the last 2 years and they are doing really good in the Hindi field. They have given solid musical hits in Hindi such as; Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahtha Hai. I think they can be brought to the Tamil films again. I feel they are definitely better than Deva and a few others. I think they are the best as far as Hindi Film Music goes after A R Rahman.

I would like healthy comments who listen to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and have a fair knowledge of Hindi Film Industry.

  But unfortunately, I found that we still have racisms and regional biases in our minds. So, is it not better to remove all these from our minds before appreciating any quality music?
  
  That is why the discussions have taken a completely different course.

  1. I have not termed any specific group of people as inherently inferior (kavitha inherently implied some racism saying dravidians were inferior to aryans)
  
  2. I have just expressed my dissatisfaction about the non-recognition of good men and their works just because they dont speak Tamil. On this I have given evidence and I have named people and I have named movies.
  
  3. I have repeatedly stressed that i dont hate North indians just like that but I hate the North and its political system which is entirely caste based. Why shouldn't I be pissed with the non-performing section? South has performed so well in the last ten years and the north has squandered all its advantages! Should I be infinitely happy abt this?? Am I racist if I point out the inferior "performance" of north india in films and music??

  5. Yes I hate to call Hindi my National language. If at all there is a necessity for a national language let us bring back samskritam and learn it in all the states. After all isn't the central govt asking southern states to "learn" hindi fast?? Why cant we learn and re-estab;ish our treasure Samskritam again by asking all states to learn it??

I do have my own opinions and I strongly feel that if South India was a seperate country we could have moved on much further without being pulled down by a sluggish corrupt crime-prone riot-prone north.   PS: Although I mentioned I would like to see South india as a seperate country I also mentioned that I would not take up violence at the same time. My protest would be like that of Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama wants to get away from the clutches of China and chinese culture. the chinese government has branded him as a rebel who is trying to seperate the country.
  
  I want the South to pactice its culture and not waste time learning Hindi and all that. We have beaten everyone in IT. Let us hold on to that edge and march on! My protest is a peaceful one!   While broadly I agree with V, I wouldnt harp only on the negatives of North. Obviously, the armed forces are still mainly populated by Punjabis and northies and one cannot ignore their contribution to the nation.
  My sadness is that still North is predomninantly consisting of people like Fardeen etc supported by incredibly stupid people from even a state like W.B, with all its intellectula capital. People like this do not understand that basic tenet "Unity in diversity". If someone believes that only having a common language, common religion,maybe common toilet leads to national unity....what a pity! What a waste of human flesh by God to produce these creatures!

  I hope MS/Admin can ban these guys. Already, Ehsaan seems to have bolted thanks to these thugs. (Now, there's a cultured northie!).

  If at all we need one we should bring back our heritage by learning Samskritam! I am ready to do it. Because I know it was the language of my forefathers. I do speak Samskritham little bit. I have gobne to Veda classes etc. It is fun and not that hard at all!
  
  Practically speaking English is the language that is most widespread in India. You can go anywhere in the south and manage in English (manage means getting thru). I cannot do that with Hindi. Yes I am sure I can also go to north and manage with English. Cant I?? I dont know about how proficient or how regular English is spoken there but i am sure I can get thru in the north with English.
  
  Having said that must not English be the real connecting language?? It makes it easy for everyone. We in the south already know it to a larger extent and we would eradicate differences. Right?
  
  If you come up with the argument that English is our conqueror's language than I think Hindi too with its plagiarism from Urdu and Samskritam is our conqueror's bashah which is really a "mughal inspired concoction".
  
  Yes Shivaji Ganesan won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. But the mainstream mentality is still rigid like AR Rahman says. We have to see good things in other languages and culuture.

  Moreover going by facts and performance I can clearly say Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali movies and music are miles ahead of Hindi movies in terms of quality, originality and presentation.
  
  Ofcourse Hindi has the good looks and glamour. But I care the least for those who dance shamelessly in 2 piece clothing in the name of Indian culture!
  
  I do listen to Pankaj Udhas ghazals. Why should I do it if I am racist?? I would not! But I want to do it becos I really want to appreciate good work!
  
  A teacher will always apppreciate a good student. Like that I will appreciate and watch Hindi movies like Lagaan, Company. Hear good Hindi albums like Dil Chahtha Hai and SD Burman music. I do all thse becos they are really good. Ofcourse I admit I am biased with Hindi Movies and songs nowadsys becos I am undergoing a personal vendetta of boycotting Hindi music, movies for as long as good films and music are appreciated in original languages!
  
  It is possible! If we all seek out we can appreciate. I did for Lagaan. As a first step can you watch Vanaprastham (malayalam)? Or Kaaka Kaaka (Tamil)??
