VIKRAM BAGS THE BEST NATIONAL ACTOR AWARD!!

VIKRAM, the versatile actor from Tamilnadu has bagged the coveted "BEST NATIONAL ACTOR" award as annoiunced today for his acting in "PITHAMAGAN" and MEERA JASMINE, the "BEST NATIONAL ACTRESS" award for a Malayalam movie!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Now, all his[VIKRAM'S] bickerings over BALA that SOORYA was given prominence in PITHAMAGAN has "GONE WITH THE WIND"!!!
MEERA is an actress whom Tamil industry hasn't used properly!!

  every country has some system to rank universities, even India.

  Before branding Sivaji Sir as 'over-acting', one must understand the 'kaala gattam'[timezone] he was in and one who didn't have a chance to know what it was[I assume :-) is an youngster!] should not comment so lightly over such an INSTITUTION.

  I understand that very well, yet its ok to be melodramatic when there's need but Sivaji carried it on even to everything he did.
  i can never see a father crying like he did in viyatnam veedu.
  have you ever seen a top-notch cop or a lawyer behave like him in real life?
  one (we audience) can never connect ourselves to the characters Sivaji played, its far-fetched.
  i don't have problem accepting he's a great actor but by no means an institution like Havard.
  And don't worry i won't say kamal is the greatest, he's more real :-)

  How are award panellists selected? What qualifications do Sumalatha, VeNNira aadai nirmala have to select the national awards? Has V.A.Nirmala done even a single role in her life worth awarding? Or has she at least proven herself as a worthwhile critic?

  Same goes for Sumalatha.
  
  I think the only qualification is that they have to be Alum katchi thondarhal.
  
  In MGRs days, that was a critical requirement for winning the award too it seems.

  I think the postings of people like zz here about IR are either based on some percieved misperceptions about his achievements and talents in music or such blind admiration for ARR. When one actually hears the quality, depth, width and variety of IR's compositions over time till date, a discerning rational individual will be able to understand why people used to the premium quality of IR's compositions may find it interesting that hyped up, low quality compositions are recognized.

  I'm not making sweeping statements about Dravid and Mahela. It is you who is making assumptions by saying 'check the stats'.
  
  Well, here are the stats:
  
  Tests:
  
  Mahela: 63 Matches, 4633 runs, Highest Score 242, Ave. 49.28, 12 Hundreds, 21 fifties.
  
  Rahul: 78 Matches, 6855 runs, Highest Score 270, Ave. 58.09, 17 Hundreds, 32 fifties.
  
  Of Mahela's 12 hundreds, a disproportionate 10 came at home. Of Rahul's 17 only 6 came at home.
  
  ODIs:
  
  Mahela: 166 Matches, 4206 runs, Highst Score 128, Ave. 30.2, 6 Hundreds, 21 fifties.
  
  Rahul: 237 Matches, 7459 runs, Highest Score 153, Ave. 39.2, 9 Hundreds, 52 fifties.
  
  Now, I know you will come up with a cooked up explanation for this like how you explained VRs success with a Vijay movie not being released on time. So go ahead and humour me.
