  Dear All:
  I saw this immpecable and astonishing movie at my hometown-Chennai-Santham Theater. Pithamagan..has earnestly and very modestly proved to the world that robert de janeiro, Al pacino, Tom Hanks are just not comparable to the class of one Indian actor Named "Vikram". If Sivaji is the Pitha of Tamil Cinema....for sure Vikram is the one only magan of Tamil Cinema. The movie is a splendid example of best supporting roles and outclassing eachothers emotions. Mr.Surya is has made it clear to all the heros that he is here to stay for a long time to come. The four wheels of A class benz car are Vikram, Surya, Laila, Illayaraja and obiviously the unmatachable driver is Mr.Bala. Pithamagan is not a trend setter ...its an epic. If this movie doesnt get an Oscar (for the best foregin film)...sorry to say...India will never get one. Thanx Mr.Bala for giving an memorable movie.

  bala has taken tamil cinema to international level. well i went with my younger brother who happens to be an ARR fan, when the title started as 'with the grand music of isaignani ILAYARAJA' the whole theatre shook up with whistels and applauds[ i was one too whistling with frenzy making my brother shut his ears]. i jus turned to him and said 'ithu podhum enakku' as he was claimining there r no more fans left for IR in TN. againn when IRs voice filled with 'yaarathu yaarathu' [ ohh how i wished this song included in the album] the theatre was filled with whistles and applauds.

  My Best friend in Chennai is the son of a Film Distributor. And, he gets invited for all new film premeire shows. I had sent him an email requesting as to what he felt abt Pitamagan as i was pretty sure that he would have watched its premiere. This is what he had to say:
  
  "Yeah Pitamagan was mind boggling. U just cant imagine these kind of movies coming in Tamil Industry. Vikram's best performance ever(not even a single dialogue), Surya & Laila's extraordinary acting, Bala's great screenplay and last but never the least our Raja has ruled the whole movie. Re-recording was equivalent to any hollywood movie. It was a great experience watching that movie."

  i just saw pithamagan.its a miracle movie ...really cool.nice acting by mr.vikram...and surya.i really congatulate them to give such a good movie for this deepavali.but i dunt understand why people's vote for tirumalai in galatta.com.tirumalai is a a*s*shole movie.im not a vijay's anti.i like vijay....but its a normal movie.not like this puithamagan.really diffrernt from other movies.10q bala....vikram and surya !!!i hope this film will given nationakl awards !!

  After watching this cine goers won't watch
  Vikram's films again. Vikram will be showed the

  I saw the movie. A very bold performance by Vikram. But it is neither a commercial nor an artistic movie. If we think of good movie then we have to scale it with either Uthiri Pookkal or Unnaip pol oruvan.
  Bala has given the serious film tone but didnt maintain a healthy script or given a movie of excellance. Another sensational movie for tamil film goers who have not seen films like Salam Bomabay or Patherpanchali.
  Until then they will think this kind of in-between movies as great and international movie level.
  But hats off to VIKRAM for breaking the pseudo image of tamil heroes.

  Guys I am just so excited after seeing Anada Vikatan giving 49/100!!!!!!!
