When's 12B releasing? Any official info?

The only info I gotto hear was that Harris was off to Manhattan, US for mixing the songs for 12B for 15 days, recently. The promos are also out on TV and do look interesting, but as always its way too early to say anything at this point.

After Majnu, I do look forward to 12B. Is it true that the audio is slated to be out on August 15th? One of the rumours I heard!

  I saw this movie last week here in the bay area..
  movie was good... I was hoping the director
  would handle this different plot well... and looks
  like he has... ofcourse with zillions of songs..
  HJ has done a good job for the BGM... he has
  really taken the cocenpt of having BGM songs to
  the next level... I think I heard atleast 3 songs
  being used... one was in english mostly.. and
  some nice pieces here and there.. it felt good.
  
  But watching this and watching minnale before
  that, the question which came to my mind... does
  this guy have range.. he is good for city and
  youth subjects... but what about others ? guess
  time might answer that... until then IR still
  rules the BGM world...

  12B and sliding doors ??? how do they compare ?
  has jeeva (12b director) innovated a lot or has
  he blindly copied ideas ? I only saw 12b.. waiting
  to get my hands on sliding doors to do the
  comparision...

  I watched the movie in Bangalore.,
  
  Yes, He has composed couple of songs as BGM, But other than that - HJ has used ONLY songs as him BGM., For example, whenever simran comes, he plays ' Poovee vaay pesumpothu' in BGM, When Jyothika comes with shaam, its either 'love paNNu' or 'Muththam Muththam' song's music, If she comes with Suhil Shetty - 'Jyothi Nirainjava' music comes .... In Minnalee also, he used 'Ennai Eeethoo seythuvittaaL' bit in BGM a bit too much.,
  
  Do you think he can be compared with IR's BGM for this ???? I very much disagree !

  Hero Shaam is from a small town Tirupattur near Karaikudi and he is far better than Vijay,Ajit,Prasanth TRIO.
  But the movie slips in screenplay.Shaam if he catches 12B bus in time he becomes Bank officer and become Simran's lover.If he misses the bus he becomes mechanic and loves Jyothika...But in three scenes in the film both the Shaam,Bank officer as well as Mechanic are present which is major flaw...But Harris and Hero Shaam are too good...

  I certainly am not equating him to IR. Ofcourse
  I cant do that... IR will haunt me in my dreams
  then.. :) just kidding... but am saying when
  compared to SAR (who repeats the same song in
  the BGM) or with deva or others who keep repeating
  a single theme music thro ought, he atleast tried
  something different to have different songs in
  the BGM.. we have to agree even IR did not try
  that.. having so many bgm songs...
  
  I am saying he a welcome change when compared
  to others... I also liked the small theme he
  plays everytime when the hero tries to go after
  jyothica or the whislting.. nice ones... dont
  u agree to that..

  I dont remember their BGMs much... I think KR
  did a good job in the ullam kollai poguthe.. I
  dont remember though.. guess this is a digression
  from 12b.. sorry guys... just thinking out loud.:)

  Now I got your point, I agree with you :-)
  
  I remember KR did a good job for Ullasam (Don't talk about the movie tho'), YSR's BGM was good in PKP - I could very well remember his bit songs 'Poovellaam MaalaigaL aagum' and 'Pooththathu Pooththathu manathu', along with the violin piece he plays when vijayakumar and nasser split - They sure have the potential, Probably yet to get a movie which NEEDS real BGM ? Nandha is the answer I am hoping !

  i had more copied versions of harris jeyaraj from rehmans previous tunes,which i'll be giving later.hope we have heard all this before and we don't need a harris jeyaraj to remake them again. there are others to do it. i hope we are not deaf anyway. it is sad to hear there is someone to say this fellow is starting to rule tamil film music.
  this is not in support for any other music directors or because of any envy on harris jeyaraj. this is true he has re-written the lyrics for the previous rehman tunes. if he would have been under anyone else,he might have surely reflected them as well.i want anyone to take this as a positive comment,and encourage him in giving really new good numbers.
  we are always ready to welcome new sincere guys,like yuvan and karthickraja who are working hard to give better music.let jeyaraj learn from them first than to blindly compare himself unnecessarily with Rehman as papers say nowadays.

  Any thoughts on our TF directors creativity process? What do you guys think of taking the idea from hollywood and then doing it in Tamil. Kamal seems to be doing that for quite some time now. Alavandhan is based on "silenece of the lambs"??
  Beat this...Anil Kappoor makes the hindi movie from whatever succeeds in tamil.
