When's 12B releasing? Any official info?

The only info I gotto hear was that Harris was off to Manhattan, US for mixing the songs for 12B for 15 days, recently. The promos are also out on TV and do look interesting, but as always its way too early to say anything at this point.

After Majnu, I do look forward to 12B. Is it true that the audio is slated to be out on August 15th? One of the rumours I heard!

  12B Sucks big time. HYPE, thats all !. Rahman changed the music industry when he released Roja, Harris Jeyaraj is using the same CD samples (the rhythms and beats) and trying to be like Rahman.
  
  Rahman, gets all his samples from Toronto. The CD comes with a Software where you can get sample beats (single loop). You just have to change the tempo and sruthi thats all. If you have a melody for a song, just select the right rhythm for the song and you are all set. Yuvan Shakar, Karthik, Rahman, and now Harris everyone is using the same shit. Raja uses sometimes , just for interludes.

  Re: rhythm loops/samples. The english gibberish at the beginning of the pEttai rap song (rhythm of life...blah blah) are all names of sample CDs.

  well everyone has their own taste/oppinions which is why we're considered individuals.
  
  IMHO, i think the songs are just mediocre. If ur really bored, u can prob listen to them.
  
  Compared to minnale, this is nothing. It seems after minnale, his music is not improving for the better.

  Devan is from here..so might have opted!...still what is wrong in recording in manhatten or mandaveli...
  overall tunes are good, Harris should have used better singers!..i dont know where the hell he found these set of singers.

  Now ARR junior has repeated the same tune in the golden voice of highly talnted KAY KAY...for the number Love Pannu.....Within four years same tune is used for three songs.....Very Unusual??? TNS

  Totally absurd. No resemblence of tune any where. But, if you say that ARR wanted to bring MGR effect to the song then yes, he did try. He probably had some other song of MGR. The reason is also because, the character is by itself an image of MGR. The iruvar story is about MGR and karunanidhi (not admitted by dir. or any body, but those who know history and seen the film know better). This is FYI if you had not seen the film.

  Lyrics are hopeless. Vairamuthu is producing more bad stuff.
  Sukwinder singh should be banned from TFM for obvious reasons.
  An album with out Hari/SPB? Sounds riding blind wave.

  Please do not waste money buying either 12 B or Majnu, before listening to them at least few times, both are very mediocre. HJ did a good jobin "Minnale" no doubt, but if u are really considering to shell out some money ( especially those in US), rather buy the ARR collections or IR collections which you do not have in your personal collection
  
  Not worth 12 0r 13 $ or whatever the price here in US, I can post the MP3 format of both soon, if somebody want it on net

  superb album.today's indian express cassette sales shows clearly that 12b stands first followed by aalavandan and poovellam un vaasam.harris with his different style and soul full composition has once again proved as a record braker.

  i think minnale is still the best offering of harris.both majnu and 12b are pleasant but thats all.Something from minnale is lacking.KK has a very nice voice.However I would like to wish harris good luck in his forthcoming releases.

  there's a definite air of mediocrity in 12B. i've a feeling hj rushed it. some songs could've have been further tuned. 'jothi niranjava' is 2 noisy and sukvinder fails to give the contrast effect that hj was probably trying 2 achieve. 'poove vaay pesum' is the only song of minnale standard , though without fail it strongly reminds us of 'thoda thoda' of indira.
  there's no denying though that hj is capable of much more and i'm sure he will prove it. nevertheless , i don't think that he'll be able to make a Dil Se or Taal or a Lagaan or Kandukonden though, at least within the coming 3 years. to scale those standards u need experience and more melody-minded.

  HJ i think ur 'vaseegaraa' and 'gulmohar malare' are ur two best and simply solid and well-worked songs. 'mutar kanave' is a very close 3rd.
