6 Songs : Mind Blowing!!

Simply mind-blowing
November 20
Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

hey people...i watched ayutha ezhuthu twice n i really loved it!though it has a simple story, the acting and the technique used to present the movie was superb!madhavan's acting was superb, makes you hate him when watching d movie, dat just shows dat he succeded in playing his role well.meere jasmin was good as well, and all the others were good also.
The song'yaakai thiri' was hottt with a capital'H'!!well mani could have done sumthing better with the other video clips though...
the movie was damn good but one weakness was dat it was kinda draggy in some scenes.
but i seriously dunno why sum of u guys are prctically cursing mani ratnam.AE was a different kinda movie attempted by him.u guys are comparing it with films like giille and arul.hey people, till when are we gonna keep on coming up and forever watching masala movies like arul, dhool, samy and gillie?i mean,it is entertaining n all....but the same kinda thing all d time??!!??till when???so please stop only criticising n insulting new kinda style from these directors who try to come with a different thing....well,nothing wrong with critisicing, but please try to look at it in a different point of view...kay?
okay...if u feel dat i'm talking crap, soo sorry, but just felt like typing it...so people, take care...n have a nice day!n if ure free,go watch AE again in d theather with a good sound system n watch it properly...u might like it......ciao!!!

Thanks a million Gyan.. We'r really lookin fwd to it.. Ur doing a great service to mankind! :)
Aishu,
Sila paerukku padam hit aaiduchu-nu vayatherichal. Avanga pannratha panneetu pogattum.
Angelz,
glad u liked the movie.. But there's no point in trying to make them see AE in a different light. The main grudge is Mani ditched Illayaraja and took on Rahman. That's where the Mani bashing started. :)
C~P,
It's about time we did something. :)

curses, Ur welcome, Yes I realize my responsibilities to music. Personally, I am not a fan of Mani Rathnam, I just can't find what is so "entertaining" about his movies. I agree he takes burning issues, and treating it with commercial elements to have it seen by mainstreem society. Yes, he is actually a social catalyst, I am proud of him for his dedication to national unity and communal harmony, etc... I like his goal and sincerity absolutely, but to watch his film makes me cringe or something. I am comparing his to our classic directors like Bhim Singh, Sridhar etc... I am wrong in putting down MR, but MR is not talented, he is committed social worker and God bless him for that, and I guess his aim is that most of the time and he succeeds to blend in film songs in his type of treatment, that amazes me. It is like Adoor Gopalakrishnan doing his stories in a lighter vein. Especially, Mouna Raagam was brilliant in that aspect.
It is a pity MR took on IR for whatever reason. IR' compositions seemed to fall in place in MR' screenplay. A serious movie maker with love for commercial songs is a rare combination. But, somehow I think IR gave way too much to MR and IR must have felt the pinch at Dalapathi time. He must've been tired of MR and his serious melodrama with whispers, irritating intonation, backlighting and unnecessary I love yous ;---)
However, God Bless Mani Rathnam. He is a brave man.

one of Ayutha Ezhuthu or Yuva song inspiration above. I did not listen to the inspired song completely or the other songs of AE or Yuva, because I felt bored and irritated to hear the inspiration.
this is not any accusation of Rahman, but once Radio Ceylon used to brilliantly and usefully criticize IR for being somewhat inspired by one song of Abba and Frank Farian (Boney M) and Lady in Red or something like that song (Aah Vanthirichu). Radio Ceylon sensationalised IR' deviation, because they loved IR to the hilt.
Pls check it out and correct me, If I am wrong. The French artist Mylene Farmer is a cult in France mostly, not eslewhere, so not manywould've heard this singer.
Also, I have a super IR-KJY Mal combo, must have song.

I just revised the input, from 2 min start to 7 min end of the original song, more you can hear. It is Yakkai Thiri in AE. We'll Never Die in the album Dance Remixes by Mylen Farmer, composer is Laurent Boutannout. Other songs are in my listings on coolgoose, click "other songs."
Aswathama, i was also going to recommend much earlier to ask MADDY to admit himself at Apollo Hospital after having Oru Gin
