AR Rahman is good than anyone in the cine(music) field.

AR Rahman is a very talented music director .He is still the no>1 music director now comparing to others.
he has only a enemy in his field that is Harris Jeyaraj .Harris jeyaraj is Rahman's enemy not because he is good than AR0 Rahman but he is a copycat which always copies Rahman's music.

For the example : -

1.Adithadi Appatha (samurai) is copied from Tom Karuvil Erunthom (Star)

2.Poove vay pesum pothu(12B) is copied from Kandukondaen Kandukondaen(movie same)

3.Oh Mama Mama...(minnale) is a Rahman's tune but it had stealed by Harris Jeyaraj when he works with AR Rahman .

so,thats all the evidence of Harris jayaraj the great copycat.

AR RAHMAN IS THE GREATEST MUSIC DIRECTOR IN THE WHOLE INDIA.

  If the request was for a justification of the statement he is still no.1 md, then $ music companies are willing to pay him is a reliable gauge of his no.1 status. It reflects on the popularity of his songs, and hence his ranking among mds.

  John Williams earns more $ than Jerry Goldsmith. Its the publicity he gets from oscars, his association with big directors, concert hall perfomances, etc. But still that didn't stop film score lovers from knowing who is the master between these two. These music afficiandos didn't get fooled by commercialism.

  ambleen wat is your point? Are u agreeing a.r. is no.1 or r u going back to the same old argument tat being no.1 doesn't mean one is the best? (of course the latter didnt stop a.r's predecessors in TFM from being declared as no.1 in their time, did it?)

  Like JW, ARR collects more $ than IR. That's all.
  Like JG, IR collects more praises from music lovers for his quality in songs and BGM.
  Like JW, ARR's songs are all nice & exciting in the begining but get 'lost' soon after into oblivion. Thanks to the majority who listen(who seem normally childish & think they are the unique youth of the nation but represent nothing).

  soon..they will be releasing the Singles..with 6 remixed version of the Title song "Yen Pattu, Ippo Teruvil" (My song, now on road)...

  Let's see. IR evades paying taxes and got his house raided.
  He has not won any awards lately. Gosh, he does not even produce songs lateley.
  No one who is serious in making movies will consider IR. Publicity zilch. Ego? Maximum.
  Stage shows? None to speak of. Waiting for kalyaana katcheris.
  Tours? Haha! Who wants to pay good money?
  Salary? Lowest among the lows. Even Deva commands better salary.
  
  So, are all the above the markings of a "best" or "no. 1" music director?

  similarly no matter how hard you tout IR here, it's just your view point, it means nothing to people who are in the business of film making.
  And they know his boring repeatations (most of the times) aren't hot with the masses except a few ambleens. Poor guy needs to resort to begging to make TIS.
  Stop making posts here and collect a few dollars for him, thats what you must be doing - haha a simple reminder.

  mr. ambeleen, ur views are flawed.
  
  ARR winning awards like filmfare, that this..doesnt say he's the best.
  
  But him winning 4 national awards so far, with one more surely this year does.
  
  more than that, him being commissioned to compose pieces for CBSO in UK, says a lot. Him being called for composing for chinese/hollywood films, speaks a lot.
  
  no doubt, IR is a maestro....but IR's line of thinking will not carry him forward as a film music composer(has not). cuz film music is as much about sounds as it is about harmony. Its about writing pieces that convey emotion, lift the scene to a different plane.
  
  IR has been able to do this to a large extent, purely by his harmony. but, thats not enough.
  
  ARR is definitely a better film composer than IR.
  
  yanni, for that matter, has the simplest of tunes...no complex stuff..and his pieces revolve around JUST one-two tunes..still he is a maestro. reason : his music is meant to convey an emotion and go acc. to the theme of his album, which he does beautifully. He collaborates all the world musicians and uses a vast range of sounds, for conveying the FEEL.
  
  IR may get satisfied with the his complex counterpoints and interesting bass movements, and you, as an IR fan, seem to hold this as a yardstick, for evaluating any other composer, which is wrong.
  
  ARR's music is diff. and ARR's line of thinking is different.
  
  simple example : for conveying chutti behaviour of children,
  
  raja did it in anjali, mainly by his tunes..and was indeed nice.
  
  look at sundari from kannathil muthamittal...the choice of instruments and the discipline is mind-boggling. The same feel was conveyed, using appropriate sounds like, MOUTH ORGANS, cellos and the spanish guitar.
  
  and as a score, sundari will be more appreciated abroad, as it concentrates equally on sounds. Thats why, we say, ARR's music transcends barriers.
  
  ARR is definitely the best when it comes to film music...and thats wut we're talking about and thats how we know ARR and IR.
  
  Lets not deviate into 'who has more knowledge'..dats a funny question..no one can answer that! unless, both release similar off-beat works for comparison. even then, its a tough one.
