The bottom line is 'You are getting Old'!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Well, if you think only old people feel the way I do, go talk to some one from SPICMACAY. BTW, I'm 23 years old - I don't know if that qualifies me as old ;)
As per current TFM standards, acceptable normal age is around 4 (nursery school):-))By these stds, you are half kizham (I'm nearly full kizham) and those in 40's are kudukudu kizham!
If you have any doubt, ask any HCARRF who'll vouch for this and any song has to be qualified by 7 year olds to be musically acceptable:-)
Probably the only DF'er who might qualify for youth levels is aruvi:-))

Ganesh,
Will you mind your words? Talking nonsense will not make you read correct. Yes. It is Yuvan's album. He is composer/singer. Do you expect TMS to sing them? Did you find Unni/HH singing in Vandhe Maatharam? If you bought it and didn't like it, it is your fault. Do you want to declare if one album is bad all albums will be bad. Don't talk childish and come to your sense.

Hmmm... whose acting in this movie... anyone know?
Anyway, I finally heard the full album... skipped a few cuz i couldnt stand it
1. Ithu Kaathala: started out soft and sweet, but what happened!!!!!! all that drum beat... though it is catchy, its blah-okay
2. Kaatrukku: mmm... no comments
3. Kann munney: I love this song!!! Its so cute... just like the way he sings unnaaaleyyyyyyyy
4. Neruppu: aiyo saami aala vidu
5. Theendai: sung alone by vaseegara lady, oh my goodness she reminded me of sadhana sargam, and that horrible lalalala made me wanna pull my hair out one by one
6. Theendai (duet): same feeling came over as the solo one
7. Vayadhu vaa vaa: now thats one sweeeeeet song!
just 2/7 good ones in my opinion... :) pls on fight.. I come in 'piece'

I was discussing this album with a HCARR fan, he sent me the following about vayathu vA vA:
Listen to Vayadhu va va song....
0:00 - 0:10 starts with the heal the world by Michael jackson opening tune (dolphin song)
from 0:20 - 1:00 - intermediate stanzas in "malargale malargale" with naghma, prabhu deva. (It might also be "naalai ulagam" in the same album with the same above people)
between 1:00 -1:12 - goes off on a tangent for a short while and comes back to malargale again..
1:40-1:50 - Might be original or maybe something I can't recognize
between 1:55-2:00 copied bit..too short to even identify. take it from me...it's copied.
between 2:00 - 2:15 reminds me of "pani vizhum malayil" stanza tune in the song by asha bonsle from Meera.
after 2:15 to end of stanza - can't actually remember where it is lifted..but, 75% lifted tune.
around 2:40-goes on tangent again.
from 3:00-3:10 again Malargale song interlude from love bird (prabhu deva dances with daffodil flowers around in London) with pan flute.
3:15 - till the end of song - back to malargale song
you won't believe that my mind starts playing "No problem" song after the above song ends.(because that's the next song after malargale in love birds album)
How far is this true?

Yentha paata kooru pottalum ippadithaan irukkum. This is going to an extreme to find fault. It is like describing a new actress by "part by part" analogy. So what?? Ultimately, this is the new style. Veg. Biryani is tasty only when you add so many vegetables. Just because of carrots in biryani is there any sense in complaining biryani recipe was stolen from "carrot sambar's"?? :-))).
This whiz kid is somewhat extraordinary. If dheena was on top, this album is going to go further. I am sure some HCARR fans can not tolerate this..they are going to come out with all sorts of complaints....Dheena innum sakkai podu poduthu......athukappuram TI then "Nandha then "Chemba" then....

My only wish is he comes up with new sounds in each album just to avoid repetition. One positive point I noticed in YSR's albums is that I never reminded of his old songs or tunes in his new albums.

Thanx NagaS sir. I think its a complete list.
For the sake of discussion,
ARR have given us some below (or just) average albums. To my memory, here is the short list of ARR's average albums or just technically acceptable:
1. Puthiya Mugam
2. May Madham
3. Puthiya Mannargal
4. Vandhi Cholai Chinnnaraasu
5. Jodi
6. Uzhavan
7. Love Birds
8. FANTASY (private album)
The above listed ones are (really) good albums but did not hit the chart at correct locations.
This list is just an analysis of ARR's real life. Becoz' people compare or even downgrade KR for his unbecoming Vaanchinathan (also UKP) recently. But I think, if ARR can still cope up after these moderates, KR also can do it. D^3 is his foremost instance. (Other than this, I am not, in whatever way, against to ARR). Thanx.

Analog,
Has the HCARR you are referring to put ARR's songs under the lens like this ? If he did and did not come up with anything then his credibility/expertise is suspect :)
Like you said YSR seems to be coming up with new sound in every album and in this album he has even tried new structures (for him). (Though we know he has a fascination for the techno/trance genre. But I excuse him for that for afterall he is still a kid :)) I also suspect that he is working really fast, without re-thinking and redoing stuff. I think he wants to be like his father - do things in a flow. If this is true, then he has set his sights very high (I mean positively).

IMHO opinion, DDD is far better than ThulluvathO illamai... Even the much hyped song Theenda Theenda has been spoilt by the strange singing style (Baaavam .. sudhdham) of Bombay Jayashree.
Don't know whether it is deliberate.
TFM Admn. : I have a problem - I am not able to vote for DDD ... It does not have the HLink on the word 'Good' (and 'bad' too!) at all. Please help.

I think TI and DDD have a different story lines. Both albums are unique too. Hope both the albums fulfills the respective needs. Both are good to me, infact excellant work by the young Raajas.
If you still want me to Vote, IMO that would be Thulluvatho Ilamai.

IMHO I think TI stands ahead of DDD for the simple fact that it contains a higher level of music. Though it sounds youthful and techno/trance like, it shows a maturity in it. Yuvan has provided us with a string of hit albums whereas karthik provided us with a few recent flops. DDD is one of KR's best efforts to date I must admit, nut you can't compare TI and DDD as the are completely different. I vote TI to be a better album.
