  "arunachalam' paaththuttu vandha vegaththulas yezhudharEn. Oh, what a complete movie! Rajani took me along with every scene! When he laughed, i laughed; when he faught, i too; when he threw that rose with a back hand to Sowndarya[how we miss her!], I could feel the joy. By watching it again after a few years, i could feel what it takes to give a mass movie. though the movie is a 'lifted' one [those who want to know my thesis on what is 'Inspired', 'lifted' and 'copied' movies are, pl. visit the AE thread for my class!!]Rajani incorporated his philosophy and ideas in his inimitable style so well! Never i felt the joy in watching a movie every minute of the whole 2 1/2 hrs. If only jasggubhai proves to be similar...... that's Rajani!!

  SK i am a big rajni fan myself, but dont tel arunachalam is a mass movie...it is a movie spoiled by sundar.c by confusing whether to give it as a ful fledged comedy or sentiment or a rajini movie........... in the climax..soundarya's mappilai thaali katta varuvaram.........apo t.v odikittu irukka..niruthunga niruthunga thaali appuram kattikalam first t.v.la enna news varuthunnu ketppangalam..story kettu mudichavudane...ok da mappilai intha lollly pop nu koduthuttu ivanga marubadiyum hero va parka vanthuduvangalam..... inna logic pa ithu?

  I expressed my feelings as i just finished watching Arunachalam and that doesn't mean I am calling it the ultimate. I agree with you that Padaiyappa was better than that.

  People like Rajnikanth should tone down violence, showing anger, hatred etc in films. It isnot heroic. He has to his brains for a change, or change his brains. Otherwise, use some change from his conductor' purse. I saw that Baba, a real insult to himself, his fans and to sanity. switching cigarettes like blowing whistle in the bus. That is not a supersatr' responsibility, it is troubled times, leave teriorsts where they belong, don't bring them to films also.
