To start this thread, here are the punch lines in Rajini's latest "Baba"

  IK, I agree.. of course IR is not the only good BGM scorer. But isnt 'pinnani isai' normally used to refer to both bgm as well as songs, or does it refer to only bgm? either way, the statement he is the only one able to add 'soul' to pinnani isai is definitely prejudiced. One cant sell one's personal preference as the universal norm. Others have their own view esp wit something subjective like jeevan in music.
  
  I always wonder why Tamil news articles always contain subjective reporting. I thought unless it is an editorial piece or something similar, reporting of events is supposed to strictly stick to reporting news. You hardly see these articles pointing to any sources, so many of them are inaccurate and the authors blatantly state their personal opinions as if it matters. A way of sucking up to a certain section of the readership perhaps?
  
  IK, I'll be catching Tamizhan this weekend. I read some bad reviews on it but read elsewhere that it is faring well at the box office.

  are there any song sung by spb(arr should stop making spb singer of only telegu songs) the same logic is not applied by him to other singers .

  Well said. Pinnani isai, the phrase, means background music, but may be construed to include songs as well because of the vague usage of the term.
  Either way, as you said that article was so biased that I wish I hadnt read it in the first place.
  
  Raghu: I too hope that there is at least one SPB song. No one would argue about the effectiveness of Oruvan oruvan mudhalali (Muthu), Singa nadai pottu (Padayappa) etc in those movies.

  There are totally six songs.

  Edhu Nadandhadho - adhu nanraagave nadandhadhu..

  Edhu Nadakka irukiradho - adhuvum nandragave nadakkum..
  
  Edhu Inru Unnudaiyadho - adhu naalai Matroruvarudaiyaagiradhu..

  Of course SPB sir will be singing 4 super*, man, SPB is the only Singer in India who can match super* style in singing, & SPB's voice is the ONLY manly voice which will suit super*, ARR should know this, ARR sc*ewed up big time in "Muthu", by giving a song to the udit narayan, he sounded like half man & half women, he he, Deva spoilt a in "Arunachalam", by giving one to nasal hariharan , but no body takes deva seriously, he he!
  
  As far As I know, ARR has given @least two songs for SPB in "MuthU" & "Padayappa"!!

  I saw some shots of VK's latest movies on TV..he seems to be trying hard to imitate rajini. He really sucks.

  Raghu, cool it. ARR cant use SPB in all the songs. He usually gives him the most significant song tho. SPB might have been the singer for the title song which rajini seems to like so much, going by previous trends.

  My sources are sometimes reliable and sometimes not. To tell you the truth, the above post re. songs was from another yahoo thread, I think. Therefore, instead of unknown, it should read unreliable or unofficial. Whatever it may be I am going to continue to share whatever I see about Baba in this thread (including the songs, of course).
