To start this thread, here are the punch lines in Rajini's latest "Baba"

  Thx for the links Raja.
  It's good rajini knows his niche and sticks to what he is best at, and spares us tragic experiments.
  He is entertainment to the max.

  Let me list it out:
  
  1. Charisma
  2. Hasnt put on a 100kg paunch unlike certain other actors
  3. Comes up with simple yet inspiring storylines
  4. Has his own original style of acting, dialogues, mannerisms.
  5. Good PR skills (wit other members of the movie industry)
  6. Has prevented himself from being overexposed (esp in the last few years).
  7. Maintains a clean image in public mostly

  You are right WhyNot. I agree with your opinion abt RK. The Northies always look down upon South Indian actors and actresses. So this is not new. Kazhuthaikku theriyuma karpoora vaasanai????

  I am neither RK's manager nor VK (you better slap me instead of calling me VK) . You earlier commented that VK is an animal. Magix, naa unakku enna throkam pannen??? :-) I feel like Sathyaraj getting slapped by that boy in Vedham puthithu. No offence meant.
  
  I am IK who happened to live near Rajini's foster mom's home and my family used to know his earlier manager, foster uncle etc. My folks at home used to get such info from these people. In fact I dont even know any of their names except for this foster uncle's name. His name was Johnson.

  I read somewhere that Rajini and Kamal had agreed not to act together in main roles and also agreed that they will not release movies on the same day.
  
  I think that has been the case so far after early 80's.

  2. does more of action than acting
     
  3. goes around saying he's dark
     
  4. has the same storyline for most of his films from Annamalai.. poor @ 1st.. learns he WAS rich.. becomes rich coz of a challenge..

  Rajini is stern about not releasing Baba on Aug 15 because he is worried that it would result in unnecessary issues if some other major actor's movie releases on the same day.
  
  Some people are asking the question as to why a super start like Rajini has to be afraid of other actors releasing their film on the same day?
  
  Rajini's response was that his film should not affect other hero's releases on Aug 15, which is why he does not want to release on Aug 15.

  Tx for the article WN. These people are paid like crazy. Its amazing to see Rahman is underpaid. Does it mean he is evading taxes or is he underpaid. I thought that he was the highest paid MD for some time now (which he deserves of course IMHO). I dont want this to turn into a fight thread!!
