AR Rahman's Tamil Blockbuster "BOYS"

Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Here is what i found::

Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.

Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.

In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.

Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.

For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

  Why is the "Boys" Album taking so long to be released...
  
  can anybody provide details...
  
  South Indian Producers never make up their mind. They should set thier mind on one particular date and stick with it...
  
  They are driving the fans nuts by changing the expected relese dates a million times...
  
  or is it the fault of the Music Director?

  whenever so much hype is created for a tamil film most of the times those films flopped within hours of release. so why the hell boyz troop and press are making so much noises. come on make all noises after u make the movie a hit with people. everyone knows the fate of alavandhan, baba, mani rathnam's iruvar etc etc. thatz ths fate of tamil filmz. only silent people are winning the race. thatz why azhagi like films won.
  
  moreover arr being copy master of all western tunes it is going to be a question mark the relevancy of the tunes of arr in boyz. he has great electronics engineers with him. infact SRIDER is the real man behind arr i think. however arr transformed all the theatres in india with excellant sound system. i am very eager to see if boyz rocks the world or putz the producer and distributorz in huge debt. anyway arr is not going to loose anything. becos he will transform all his old tunes in to some thing like bombay dreamz and survive.

  ARR market value drops from crores to lakhs,Boys is his last effort to come back to his earlier position,if this film bombs like his last 5-6 films,ARR will be forgotten by the indian film industry,but to his luck the name SHANKAR can him fish him out of the mess he is in,lets hope for the best

  do you know arr not only great musician but he is also an expert in eletronics and mastered sound engineering. when compare to any other musician in the world, rahman is genius in mixing and handling instruments and creating sound effects. today's musicians think that somebody is behind him to bring quality of music. it is funny.

  arr as usual delayed in recording the songs it is heard he completed
  
  it last saturday only.
  
  audio is gonna release between june 15th to 30th and film during the
  second week of july.
  
  
  it is also heard that CD on its first release will have 10 or 12 songs
  (likely to be) and
  second release will have 3 bonus songs and remix songs.
  
  There r few interesting animations in the film
  
  in one of the songs there is morphing of the heroine changing into
