  I heard some songs from tamilmp3world.com
  Not great from ARR. I think, he has more constraints when he compose for Rajini movies.
  
  It will be a hit.. first time when u listen, u would not like the songs.. second time better.. after 10 times, really good.. That is the ARRahman songs works. This one will also fall in that category.
  
  I like 'baba baba kichu kichu' and 'maya' songs..
  Only little bit ARRahman flavor is there.. it is Rajini movie after all.

  Arun !! I don't think a Composer doesn't have to have constraints no matter who he scores for. Most certainly it doesn't depend on the hero. He has been fooling tamil audiences with his trial and error methods. Without music a song should be good. Just listen to the song "Nilave Mugam Kattu enai parthu" without any music in a worst tape recorder. Still it will be wonderful. Just listen once not like 1000 times. A tune should be good enough to listen to even without music, without enhancing the voice quality digitally. Sing any one of the Baba song without music!!! Inspite of the fact i have 5.1 music system, i have high quality mp3.. not even a single is worth listening to.

  Dude JJ, where u from? Dont u have anything better to say? Nowhere is it like that a song shud to be good without music. If u want just tunes, listen to carnatic vocal. U think ADi Rakkamma or Niram Prithu wud be a great song without the orchestra? And with some music, i think it wudnt be fair to not to listen to them in a decent music system. If I want to enjoy Sangeetha Megam, I wud want a system that allows me to have a decent bass, and definitely it has to be a stereo system, otherwise, there is a very good chance of me missing the double bass. (And do u know how people wish only if IR's recording was better?)

  Hello To the ilk... you fans should be sportive enough to take criticisms in your stride!!! It doesn't matter where i am from. This was in response to some ARR fan who accused a site that it has deliberately uploaded low quality baba songs!!! Ada theriyadhavalukku meda seriyillannu sonna madiri what all excuses you guys come up with!! Unbelievable!!

  'deivam indru' - a hybrid of Kothamangalam Subbu's villu pAttu and some other stuff. The percussion interludes seem to have a strong flavour of 'ottagatha kattikkO'. Poor song.
  
  'dippu dippu' - What's up with this singer dude? He seems to be in excruciating pain when he screams 'B..A..B..A..'. The overall effect of the song is like something from a Bhangra Pop album. Poor again.
  
  'kichu kichu' - The female voice seems to be drunk. Average lyrics. Rahman suffers from his eternal problem of being unable to maintain the mood of the song throughout. The song is reasonably melodious, though.
  
  'ekam' - I gathered that ARR's aim was to provide some kind of secular touch to the song. The words in Sanskrit, an organ(?signifying a church-like atmosphere) in the background and finishing it off with an Islamic flavour. If that was the goal, I think it was fine.
  
  'ivan vasam' - Run-of-the-mill song.
  
  'mAya mAya' - Pathetic song. Like the words in the song - 'thAmarai ilai pOl ottamal iru'. No coherence at all. Seems like four different songs pieced together.
  
  'nam nadai kandu' - Another poor song. The 'sakthi kodu sakthi kodu' portion is better suited to an ad jingle for, say, 'Boost'.
  
  On the whole a very poor effort from ARR. Where is the brilliance of songs like 'andha arabikkadalOram' and the freshness of a song like 'chinna chinna Asai'?

  I thought I wud not post to u again. As much as I hate responding, but did I ever mention a single thing abt Baba music in my above posting. I was only responding to ur opinions, song without music, worst music system, and all that crap, as I did in the other thread.

  Kaalam thaan badhil sollanum unga ellar kelvigalukkum.
  By such time, Rajini would be the 3rd or 4th wealthiest person in the world and we will still be fighting in this forum about ARR vs IR, how ARR music does not fit Rajini films etc.

  Baba Songs are not good.I dont think AR Rahman is concenterating much now.Though its Rajini Movie,Padayappa was good.Let us pray god for Movie to be good
