I have few movies mentioned in other threads on YSR but where are the audio's? Have they been released? Such as for Nandha or manathai thirudivitay or Telugu movie? It has been a while since I heard YSR songs

sify says TI is expected to gross 10 Crores !! while to budget of the movie is just 90lakhs...so the break even wud've happened even before the movie completed it's 2'nd day !! (no distributor was ready to release the movie...KasthuriR released the movie himself...Supposedly inspired from american pie and chitram (telugu)

Seems yes.
But, ladies crowd might not see it.
Grossing 10 crore is too much but if it does then its a good news for film industry as it will prove that people have once again started to go to theatre.
All this started with Gemini. Good, let film world live.

Common Friend,
You are right, But this is not the first time such a movie is becoming a commercial success - remember ULLe veLiye and Indhu ? :-)
The film is running housefull for more than 15 days now - so I believe 10 Crores is quite a 'possible' number !

Hi! Guys!
JS has atleast three good songs. "Aanandham", "singara kanna" and "Thithippa". Other songs are just ok. I don't know why it did not appeal to people.
My 4 year old son hears those songs repeatedly when we travel in Van.

Sify review.
TI--is it such a bad film?
No mention about good songs in that.
Had it been a ARR film and there would have been several old responses on a single day (bashing it and supporting it...ofcourse)

'is it true the youth love the movie?"he asked.i told him they enjoy the music and the film.it seems he never expected TI will be released.
he is also happy about his new assignments.and told me he wants to do a guitar based musical.
one thing is good.
the success have not got into his head.the same shy yuvan.

Thulluvadho Ilami is raking it in at the box office. The film has been running house full since release and this is only for YSR's music. I saw the movie when I was in Chennai just 3 days back and was very disappointed by the vulgarity of the film. It is good to do taboo subjects, buit not with such a young age group especially when youth are so vulnerable. this will put ideas into heads that it is ok to be like this. The film goes against culture and that was a big let down.
However you can see the film for the songs. the songs and BGM is lilting and soul-stirring when seen with the film. Hats off to YSR for his tremendous efforts in the film.

i saw TI very good songs from YSR . But the BGM is not by him.

TI running for songs only is a bit too much of an appriciation. I accept the songs in that film are class apart and arguably the best of YSR, but, the film has only male audience of certain age group and it is only running for its obvious matter.

Common Friend,
I agree to you ... but when you write a review for this movie, I think the only thing you can 'openly' appreciate is music .... others are stamped as 'vulgur' - from camera angle to dialogues ...
For a movie like this, Pa. Vijay has managed pretty decent lyrics - well done !!

Yes, I agree. But don't you think that has been fooled or knowingly let himself fooled by this director. He gave a wonderful music for a film to be branded as X rated.

Common Friend,
Yes ... you are right ... even people like us, who felt proud to have TI album with us, may have to hide it after its branded like this :-(
Very sad ...
Now, I am sure with the kind of money TI has earned, the producer - director will plan another movie like this and defenitely approach YSR for music ... what he is supposed to do in that situation ? :-)

CF,
I think there's nothing wrong in giving good music for such movies....Take the Raja classic, iLamayenum poongAtru...the song reminds u of some morning show mallu movie, but the song is still considered a classic...wudn't u agree ?

NagaS,
as long as there's a good scope for music in the movie, any confident MD shud accept it...YSR shud.

S,
When IR did that song, he was a popular MD, releasing atleast 30 movies per year - Even is this one song / movie is branded as 'BAD', he needn't worry ... its like sachin scoring a duck in one of the match, we know he will follow it with a century or whatever,
Now the case is different, YSR is releasing not more than 5 to 8 movies per year (For that matter any MD except Deva / SAR are like this !) and if one of them - with such beautiful songs goes 'unnoticed' because of this reason, its a waste of time, waste of energy, If people switch channels the moment these songs are shown on TV, Will it do any good to YSR as MD ?
Thats why I was doubtful if he should agree to one more movie like that ...
Now after hearing reviews of TI (With no mention about music in most of them, Even Kalki Ignored YSR's work and talks only about 'bad' things in the movie), I wish TI was never relased - it was a wonderful album, private album-nnu ninaichhchuttu poyirukkalaam :-(((

Who cares about the magazines? TI is running extermely well and the collection are almost compared with Padayappa. Kalki or whomsoever it is, the fact is people likes it. Casette sales is growing up. When Minnalae comes, almost all Tamil magazines didn't give any big credit to Harris Jeyaraj. Then what happened? Movie is hit just becuase of the Songs. TI is now the super-duper hit, the reason is simple sex and songs and as well as the message they want to tell. I can rate TI is much better than some medicore movies of VIjaykanth(rajyam)/Sathyaraj(looty)/Karthik/Sarath Kumar(Dosth)/ManiRatnam(Yuirae,Iruvar etc)/Balacahdner(Paarthalae Paravasam). You accept with me or not, TI is a big hit. Because you never know which movie will run or fail.

NagaS - i think tamilcinema.com mentioned one line about YSR :-)..... hey, i think everyone got sucked into the movie probably, so the music went totally unnoticed, may be..... cause, going by the review in tamilcinema (it has given a "A" rating), i think the director and the hero/heroine have done a wonderful job....

Maybe YSR doesn't want to score for this 'A' movie!

Ani YSR was recording in UK when the director of TI decided to release the movie. YSR could not return to Chennai to complete the score, so he gave the notes which he had previously written for the BGM and his assistant Vijay Manuel did the recording of the score.
