AR Rahman's Tamil Blockbuster "BOYS"

Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Here is what i found::

Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.

Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.

In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.

Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.

For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

  Obviously no matter how many times you talk about Bala I'm still not going to agree with you,because like i said before to me Nandha was to similair to Sethu in type of story presentation.
  
  Who deceived the public? DId no one watch the trailors? The prostitute scene was tehre along with the streaking scene and others. People will always point fingers because they are not mature enuff.
  
  How many peopel in India watched Jism or that one movie with manisha koirila(name slips me but the story abt the young kid peepin in her house) How many indians go to see gana songs with kiren,mumtaj etc and such. How many indians tell me?
  
  To be a human means one has to be able to think and do for oneself. We weren't born to follow behind people blindedly.But tell me how many people follow blindly just so they will have an excuse? Something goes wrong first thing that happens is pointing of fingers.

  I dont want you to agree with me, but you should atleast looking at others opinions.. this means i am forcing you to believe I am right, Which is not my intention. If you give an argument, i am bound to give one.
  
  I think you are still talking like an American. Just look if the person is illiterate, common, Dont tell me that they should be mature just like that..
  
  The fact is that the Problem is that the viewing public is a general public. Dont tell me that Oh TRAILERS SHOWED THIS AND THAT, I call that is an Excuse. When you sell any product to the General, we should be careful and take the criticism as is.
  
  But I still agree to the opportunist politician who has nothing to do with the movie. he just garnered his popularity initiative with boyz..
  Deceiving the public, why did not Shankar get a clearance from TN (if it is a Tamil movie and not a Dubb)

  MIL,
  Shankar's movies, from Indian, have been made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. This is probably done to avail subsidies and stuff like that. That could be one of the reasons that Boys got sensored in Telugu.

  Hey guys i watched "Gentleman" on sunday and couldn't help wondering how shankar had lost so much head from there on.......in that movie he encouraged youngsters to act sensibly and avoid perversion and distraction....... and in BOYS he has totally gone bersek...... wonder wat went wrong with this gr8 man.......

  apart from tapping & singing those rural folk songs of kampong malaysia, u seem to not understand something. that a song being good & famous for 4weeks doesn't mean that song is good. it's the hype & activity that's lifts up the song at that moment. once those thing goes down, the song will too. case in point: all the last 10 to 20 releases of arr albums. or better still for ALL the releases of arr...ask urself which one r u listening now. so now u know what is flop.

  ok...some of the songs in IR albums are good no doubt....
  
  but u know what album i am listening to now?It is boys..There is no way by which I can listen to azhagi at a stretch say 10 or 15 times..Probably we can listen to oliyile 10 times but certainly not the whole album
  and there was another album by IR which came(dhanush?) which sucked big big time..
  Of course ARR has also his flops : Parasumram..But the point I want to make is Boys rock and it is not like the music would die in 4 weeks..

  But explain how come i'm still listening to Naan Potta Saval, Kaali, Ram Laxman, Guru, Mudhal Mariyathai, Sakalakala Vallavan, Ullasa Paravaigal, Aanandha Kummi and tons & tons of others. AND IT'S THE WHOLE ALBUM i'm listening to and not 1 or 2 songs.

  Wow thats odd cuz i dont listen to any of those albums. But i know i still listen to kadhalan,indian,kadhalr dhinam,duet,may madham,love birds, etc etc.

  I hope its the latter because Dinesh has gone down so low that even the smarter ARR fans will find him unacceptable. I'm sure you will agree to it. As a credit for ambleen, he never made any derogatory remarks on ARR. He never did that behind ppl's back. There are so many who have used vulgar words on MDs,etc. behind their backs. It is in fairness that ambleen stood up face to face with his words to the more derogatory terms of Dinesh.
