  YSR is great. I would admit that. His background scores for some movies are amazing but in Thennavan, he has just used two Gladiator background music for the climax scenes. Whats up with that?

  Even ARR used the gladiator music piece in "Kanathil Muthamittal" in teh scene where Madhavan and Prakash Raj will be seen walking thru a field in Srilanka.Don't understand the reason why these ppl are obsseded with that score.

  YSR had used the Gladiator BGM earlier in Nandha in the scene where the refugees are first shown(long shot) and RajKiran(?) is talking about them.
  Gladiator's BGM by Hans Zimmermann was awesome and viewing it in a theater, it was an audio-visual spectacle. Not surprised to see our MDs getting inspired :-)

  The tune sounds very usual,but checkout the chords in the background. Very much like ARR in the 1990s!!!

  You can tell HJ following ARR steps.(Probably HJ was a contributor to ARR initially and hence resemblence of styles).
  
  But YSR is different. He use synth and beats library doesn't mean he follow the footsteps of ARR.
  
  He has his own style. When ARR gave Ey Ey Ennaiachu unakku, YSR gave Mercury poove. Both are good and totally different.
  
  Very few songs, I agree YSR has tinge of ARR. That apart, I could not see resemblence.
  
  Thennavan songs are good and guys appreciate with open heart.

  I am a big fan of YSR.
  
  I am not saying in a negative manner that YSR is imitating ARR. I am saying that the feel of his chords have changed a lot lately and he is doing ARR like chords.
  
  That apart, I feel ySR is the best after ARR

  I thought you are one of those guys who bluntly say YSR copies ARR.
  
  I feel YSR has the spark and should take limited number of movies and do good work. Also he should ensure he work with proper directors who portrays his songs well. Junior Senior has some gems, but the picturization kills them.
  
  Some songs in Winner are also above average, eventhough they were not candidates for killer hits.
  
  So YSR is really doing good.

  Anbe sivam you are correct.YSR already proved his different style. I will give a list of few songs of YSR. They are completely different from ARR and IR.And also it is good indian classic. If any one says YSR music is similar to ARR let them listern these songs.

  Where can I get Velai Songs. I keep hearing that name, but could not find songs of them anywhere.

  Here is the link for velai. All songs are super. ARR copied the kunnoru poochatti song in Parasuram as dolna. Just think how YSR is for ahead of ARR.

  Nikhil cooldown. I just want to make sure that YSR can compose on his own style. ARR is a gem .I know that. But YSR also is a GEM. He gave continous hits till now even without big banners and artist. None of his albums are failure.Even though the movie flop the songs are hit like poovellam kettuppar, manadai thirudivirttai.But I can tell many ARR's flop when the movie is flop.

  Munpaniya resembles IR's song kadalin deepam ondru (Thambikku entha vooru)especially the stanza's. OK. He has the right to use his father's tune. Also listern theendi theendi (Bala) resembles the song Padum vanambadi haa (Nan padum Padal).

  Did anyone notice that the intro of the "Oviyaa" song from Kurumbu is ripped off from the Intro of KR's "Konjum Manjal" song from Ullasam?
  
  Ditto copy. Not even an inspiration.
  
  Maybe it is a sample from a sample CD? I hope so because YUvan is too good to do this.

  Why is YSR wasting his time composing music for fat old idiots like Vijay Kanth???? The last time KRaja composed peppy songs for Vijay Kanth's Vanjinathan, we ended up seeing the hero dance for songs like Amul Baby!!!!!
  In an interview YSR said he wont go with Vairamuthu bcos Vairamuthu is old and he was more comfortable with young lyricists!!!!

  Oviya is modern version of Rajaraja cholan naan(rettai val kuruvi). OK. He used the same instrument which KR usen in ullasam.But composing and the beats are completely different from KR.

  Apart from background instrument, I don't see that much resemblence between Uyire's "Poongaatrile" and YSR's Munpaniyaa. May the background instrument gives you that feel.
  
  That way, MSV used that on Ellorum Kondaduvum(sivaji acting). I am seeing this accusation from ARR fans, that somebody using synth, then they are following ARR steps.(As if ARR invented synth.).
  
  For that matter, ARR has taken lots of inspirations from MSV and others, but did a good work upon it and presented it nicely. When he himself is like that, why do you guys come on YSR for similar effort.
