  'Rajavin parvaiyile' cassettes & CDs were released under 'Sangeetha'., i heard that HMV has bought Sangeetha cassete rights & so i think you will be able to find it in HMV CDs.
  BTW rex., what about songs in 'Ilaya raagam'., IMO this album has 3 excellent - but unnoticed songs - 'Naanonru kettaal tharuvaayaa' By AM & KSC, 'unnai naan sernthirukka' by ???, 'Maruthaanich chaareduththu' by Mano & KSC. Another film which came with great work by IR in the same period is 'Kolangal'., My picks from this movie are.,
  * 'siru kuuttil chinna kookilasm irandu' (Mano & Chitra )
  * 'Ullaasap poongkaatre.,' (Chitra)
  * 'Mauna raagam., ' ( S.Janaki )

  How is it that everyday I come with some song in mind to request for and already someone has requested that particular song only the previous day...TOday it was kolangal I was going to ask and Naags seems to have had the same inspiration at around the same time . Seems like Raja's music is inspiring some telepathic exchanges between us fans!
  
  Anyway, Rex, "Manamae nee" is just so soothing and soulful. Thanks. How about Nenjathai killadhae? Please upload it soon,no?I cant wait to hear Uravenum pudhiya vaanil!

  Shortly, I will be uploading 2 songs from Nenjathai Killathe (By Request) and 2 songs from GURU (Malayalam).
  
  The two songs from GURU are just masterpieces of Raaja, I should say. I wish no artist on this earth should go unnoticed for some great work as this album of Raaja. In fact even THE HINDU had applauded Raaja for the music. He had used some Hungarians and Hungarian musical instruments for this movie. Please listen to these two songs, which are really great!! I know that many of you would not have got the chance to listen to these numbers, as I could not get this cassette in Coimbatore when I went last summer. Remember: Coimbatore is having a high Malayali population, being very close to Kerala border (10 miles). Even then GURU cassettes could not be found.
  
  In the song Aruna Kirana Deepam Paadum....Raaja is simply unmatchable in his BGM....just see the way he starts the song......beautifully merging with the voice and again carrying on with his beautiful BGM for this song.... Unfortunately, many people were not `gifted' to listen to this one great masterpiece of Raaja which might be reviewed only at posterity.

  Thanks MSK, Nags and Rex for the info. By the way, are you sure the film was released in 1995/6? It's just that, like Kangalin Vaarthaigal, I am unable to find the album in shops in the UK - I had to get KV in the US, after a lot of searching. Maybe there is a difficulty in getting Sangeetha/HMV Film song releases..... I'll keep looking, thanks again.

  Today i remembered one song sung by Mano & Uma ramanan. I couldn't figure out even a single line in this song., but the tune is excellent & I like Uma ramanan's voice in this kind of songs., The movie is directed by Shreedhar & its name is 'Ennarukil niiirunthaal., '., sorry that i couldn't give more details., Any of you remember this song ?.,

  I just stumbled on this page today & I'm listening to the songs right now.
  
  Reuse is to be encouraged in s/w engg, not in
  duplicating music. I say this with regards to two songs ( btw today's the first time i'm hearing these two songs in tamil! )
  
  1. Devadhai Ilam Devi from "Aayiram Nilave Vaa"
  - first featured in Kannada in one of Shankar's Nag's biggest hit films - "Geetha".
  2. Mella Mella from "Vaazhkai"
  - this is blatantly copied from Mani Rathnam's first and only Kannada film "Paalavi Anu Pallavi".
  
  Curiously enough, IR is the MD for both the Kannada movies stated above.
  
  Why does he have to reuse his tunes like this ?
  Morover, why corrupt them in the 2nd release - I mean, this "Mella Mella" song has really stupid and inane lyrics ( written with no meaning, just for the sake of rhyming )...in the kannada version, the lyrics and the song itself is absolutely profound.
  
  I'm a big IR fan, but I must say I'm sorely disappointed today after listening to botched-up duplicate renderings of these two songs.

  YEH UN KANNALE NAAN PENN AANENE..HMMM HMMMM...OYAMAL..Beautiful song..In fact I was just about to add this song during the weekend. I am very sure that this is the song you are trying to recollect. Throughout the song, the beats remain the same and is very very melodious.
