Subbu,
UNDP and BIFR makes me shudder as I remember my school days when we had to mug up these abbreviations- BTW, is B in BIFR for Board or Bank?
On to more intersting things- Alankaram kalayatha silai ondru kanden is a great song from Rojavin Raja.
Muthu muthu punnagaye mukkani thottam is a duet by SPB-PS from the film "Oru kovil Iru deepangal (1979)- Lyrics by Kumaradevan, Music by V Dakshinamoorthi. Another great song from the film is Endha paathai engey payanam by KJY.(lyrics- Kannadasan). The film starred new faces.

Kumaradevan wrote Nalla manam Vazhga in VDak s music right?
All of Sivaji movies from 1970 s had good songs but never got the credit. There is a thread started by Gowri for the lyrics of 1970s.Suggesting to revive it with
Alankaram Kalayatha,Janaganin magalai,Senthamiz padum, etharkum oru kalam undu etc.

OISG, hmm, coming to think of it, yes, KRV seems to have done many such 'professional' movies.
But if we really think about it, we realise that she was the only actress of her time, whose career as a heroine spanned over 2 decades. She came at a time (1963), when Savithri, Sarojadevi, Devika etc were riding high. She outlasted them to rub shoulders with the likes of JJ and Vanisri. Later she stood her own, even when Lakshmi, Sujatha, Latha and Manjula turned up. She still gave hits when Jayachitra, Sripriya and Sridevi started playing the heroine.
1980 saw her give a memorable performance in Rishimoolam, which is said to have impressed Sivaji himself. She contined acting as Sivaji's heroine, till his career too ended. After that too she played the heroine in the socio-mythologicals like Mel maruvathur aadhiparasakthi, Samayapurathaale saatchi, Bathil solvaal bathrakali, Kai koduppal karpagambal- not that there was anything great about these films- but the fact is she was playing the heroine- a full 25 years after she first came with Karpagam, is in itself a remarkable achievement, which no other heroine has matched so far!
And in many of her films, she played the pivotal role, with the hero playing second fiddle, be it Muthuraman, Ravichandran or Jai. Many of her films were referred to as a 'KR Vijaya padam', even by the front-benchers, and not by the hero's name. I think she was the only actress to have this distinction.
Coming to the films you had listed, Mayor Meenakshi (1976), was, I think her own production. She played the scavenger, who rises to become the mayor. Even after she becomes the mayor, she still appears with a broom and a bucket and continues to clean toilets! Jai was her pair.
Another pair in the film was Vijaykumar-Sripriya.

Mittai Mummy (1976)was originally titled Deivam thandha veedu- The record came under this name only. I haven't seen the film- so I don't know the story. Jai was KRV's pair here too. Music by V Kumar.
Subbu, the fundu song you referred to is Thirukkovil thedi Rathi devi vandaal, and not Thirutheril eri. A captivating duet by TMS-PS, composed by the Mellisai maamani. Another song is Madhu kinnam yendhungal by VJ. The title song was by PS.
In Gaslight Mangamma (1977) I seem to remember only one song-Kaadhal deivam by KJY-VJ. Music by MSV.
There's a lot more to be said about KRV's films where their songs.
