  IR was first referred to Maestto by John Scott who conducted his symphony.
  
  ARR supposedly refused to score music for Kunjumon's Koteeswaran.

  The title MAESTRO was given by RPO. In the Appreciation ceremony for IR, Kamal read the letter from RPO which called Raja as Dear Maestro. By now, almost all the TFM fans or Worldwide fans of Indian music knows Raaja as Maestro and Isaignani. No doubt about that! Definition for Maestro may be... a musician who can read, write, compose, conduct and perform east/west classical music. Not many people can do that. RPO is a world renowned institution and I beg to inform that everybody can accept it's title to IR as Maestro and he rightly deserves it. Like what Naushat said, IR is the only complete MD who does everthing. BTW, who gave the titles like "Isai Puyal" etc., I think Puyal will not last long and it is a devastating one. Though I am hard-core fan of IR, I believe ARR good enought to deserve a better title. So when comparing the titles given to others(without any reference), I am proud to inform that Maestro was given by RPO. Isaignani was given by Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Ragadevan I do not know.
  
  About copying from western music and the song 'Darling Darling' from Priya, Panchu Arunachalam told in an interview that he asked for ultra-modern(then) songs like BoneyM and IR did that with ease giving Indian touch. Some of the songs are at the request of those directors who are Western Music listeners and some are influenced by IR himself.
  
  I think IR is the only MD who explained that MD's job is a big fraud and the one who make more fraud is the successful MD. For Eg., he told once how he came up with the tune for "Pudhu Mappilaiku..." from Aborva Sagodharargal. IR did a few tunes for Kamal and he was not convinced. Then IR was asking for an eg. Kamal or IR came up with the song "Naan Parthathile Aval oruthiai than" as a eg. Further IR explained how he changed that old song tune to "Pudhu Mappilaikku..." with chorus like papapa papapari and etc., I do not think any MD will be frank enough to say such kind of process. I heard that chorus is an influence of some western song which I do not bother as I am not lucky/knowledgeble enough to hear much of western except for those couple of old BoneyM hits.

  ARR has not refused KTK's "Kodeeswaran". He is thrown out of the project because "Ratchakan' was a flop musically. ARR himself admitted this in a recent interview. I am an ARR fan and even like some songs of ratchakan.
  But what to do, to my amusement recording clarity was very low. May be ARR will take care of this point.
  
  And the current projects he is working now are Barathiraja's "Tajmahal", Maniratnam"Dil Se", Subash Gai "Taal" KSRavi's latest film and "Engineer".

  There is deemed retirement or enforced retirement than the voluntary one which IR is heading now.
  Last few months ARR had MUDHALVAN, ALAIPAYUTHEY, KKKK,TENALI etc etc..Deva had MUGAVARI, KUSHI....SAR had VANATHAI POLA, MAYEE,PIRIYAMANAVALE......But IR'S commercial SARAKKU....KummiPATTU,Ilaiyavan...Karisal kattu....This is case of enforced RETIREMENT...

  This is not hatred...When IR sidelined TMS, PS.LREetc etc Did he hate them Even today these singers do stage shows...He initiated few people' deemed retirement few years ago which the KALA CHAKKARAM is showing to him...No I don't hate him...I still say he ruled....He is like those OLD.IMAYANGAL type singers...Always good but out of circulation....Ali Ahmed

  Did IR take over tamil film music sangam to take care of every single singer?. How many songs did MSV himself gave to LRE, TMS after 75-80? (Except for sivaji starers, MSV used spb and yesudas for likes of kamal/rajani/bagyaraj etc why???).There is no doubt MSV was doing well resonably during that time. How many would have liked TMS singing for rajani & kamal?. IR was doing only about 20% of the movies that came out during 75-80, how can he just be responsible for TMS/LRE's downfall?.
  
  IR did have a favorite circle to work with, As does any other MD. Hey did do anything for downfall of any singer. In fact Yesudas/SPB/Janaki was so good, but denied chance before IR. Same applys to the fine singers ARR found out.

  if TMS and LRE are doing shows now why dont you reco ARR to give life to them? He is anyway leader of tamil sorry indian film music asscociation now. He can also use funds from his overseas project to fund T K pattamal's grand children too.

  ALREADY T.K Pattamal's grand child Nithyasree is projected well by ARR...Like MSV worked as ORCHESTRA conducting assistant to IR in mid 80s,IR can work with his sons asORCHESTRA co ordinator...His sons will gain more fans.....care of father's loyolists....But let IR not retire now....There are people around to make films on Bharathi dasan,Annadurai, Kamaraj....etc...THESE guys require IR's...service...free of cost...ahmed

  yes ir is one of those old(stale) standard MDs who work for the cause of some v.good movies by not even asking money or getting meager money for doing music. but i'm sad to see that bharathi is implicitly compared to some politicians (if done).
  
  still such kind of value system remains with few people like ir. poor people of upcoming generations could not even imagine about such stuffs, for, they r going to live in a period in which everything is counted in terms of money, royalty and rights, $, too much ads.
  
  i wud sadly say ir is an idiot who is still believing in such values :-((

And if my assumption is right then i wud like to clarify that in that posting i did not blame on ARR. its a general trend which im talking about and incidentally ARR is also comes under this. my remark includes the present days carnatic singers also who in the name of "album release" deviate more towards money etc. Nowhere i wanted to be a fanatic.

  Probably ARR should retire fi=rom file music. This Idiot has spoiled the Indian music and borrowed tunes from abroad and made every indian addicted to western music and full of artificial stuffs.
  
  Probably we need one more freedom struggle to liberate india from this addiction(Slavery) to western music.
  
  Arr doesn't have any musical Knowledge and he is a good sound Engineer and earning money by copying from western music.
