I was very touched by this "chinna Asai" of his:

bus-sil pogum pOdhu
pAttu kEtka Asai

Many of us have come out of Tamil Nadu/India, and I think it would be interesting to hear about the chinna chinna Asais of various people... the things we miss most... Nostalgia anybody?

  BTW i just heard that Chicago's tamil sangam has managed to air tamil songs on the radio(short wave) everyday from 4 in the evening to midnight. I heard that it has already been started. Indha weekend oru radio vaangi try panni pakkanum. Nalla melodious paattu ellam kekka mudincha it will be great.
  
  When i read all of you writing about trichy it makes me feel so homesick :( but i will be going there shortly for a vacation :) Trichy town bus ippovum appadiye irukkannu paathuttu varanum appadiye Maris rhambha oorvasi ellam oru round adikkanum..:-)

  I remember the time when late in the nights, "group study" was the name of the game. After alasufying the latest news mostly related to TFM discussions, sports, we used to open the books, after an hour of great effort, one would suggest going to the nair kadai for tea, ( these shops are open thru out the night in Madras), the old radio will be tuned to some unknown station, where unexpected greats can heard with a lot of static noise. It is a great feeling to walk on the roads in Mylai/Mandaveli, late in the nights, with all the erumais keeping vigil.
  
  Another variation is drinking masala milk after night shows in Kamadhenu, Luz.
  
  All of us tend to romantisize ( I know the spelling is not correct - to hell with it) all those days.

  thanks ravi for clarifying rightly. Udhaya I stay
  away from mentioning names as for as possible in order to avoid ill-feelings and escalate into counter-productive situations. Sometimes it sends signals to improper destinations rather unwittingly. I am sorry, it was not you i had in my mind( i agreed digression is fun sometimes, but obscenity). Folks since i think my next posting deviates slightly from TFM , but very much in the purview of this thread, i have posted in the thread 'dlkjhdsdfshlhk'. go there to get my appetizer!
