YSR - New generation's DEVA

Well, Deva has started his carrier as Poor Man's IR. Now YSR started his carrier as Poor Man's ARR. I wish he should succeed in his attempt and become a busy MD like Deva, instead being overlooked by the industry.

  When I talk about Gandhi's family as an example, I am talking how the people mind is set and takes time to change. You don't need to worry about how/why people change/don't change. They will change themselves if they like it.

  It is natural for children to follow their parents foot paths. It is
  easy for them and quite natural.
  
  When people accept the following
  Politicians becomming politicians
  .MK Stalin, Alagiri, Chaurala family, Lalloo family, Gandhi family
  
  Actors/Producers/Directors sons becoming actors
  . Karthik, Prabhu, Vijay....
  
  Actresses daughter/sister becomming actress
  . Meena, Jyotika, .,
  
  Doctors son becomming doctors
  .. Many
  
  Businessmen's children becoming businessmen
  . TATA family, Ambani family...
  
  Why not MDs children becomming MDs and why not public accept it?
  . KR/YSR, Srikanth (Deva's son)
  
  You need talent survive and this two have that. What happened to
  Deva's son?
  
  If you think people should not buy goods from TATA because their
  father started it and their chidlren did not put in that much efforts,
  you will be a laughable stock. I don't see any reason why blamming

  I am visiting after quite some time and I can see that one particular individual is out to discredit YSR. It would be nice if the individual came out with evidence rather than keep trashing the young guy. YSR has lots of potential. He is surely showing originality in music. HJ might sound like ARR but that is all he is, no originality from his side. IR did not surpass MSV overnight ..so it will take YSR quite sometime to really threaten and unseat ARR (if at all). There are many things common between YSR and ARR, both of them can come up with catch melodies, they both look towards the west to see how a song can be orchestrated. They give importance to sound engineering. They are particular that the lyrics should be stylish and modern (I understand YSR is yearning to work with VM). What separates YSR and ARR now is the sophistication in orchestration and tune which ARR has over YSR. I will attribute this to the experience ARR had working in the industry and with prominent musicians. YSR being young is quite likely missing the subtleties. But a major advantage YSR has over ARR is AGE..he is young and he has enough time to mature (and since I am a IR fan, I suggest he listen to more of his Dad's work :))

  Just because "x" is son/daughter of "great person" it does not mean x automatically = "great person". X has to prove that he/she is good in something and then earn credibility just like he/she's parents.
  
  Nehru atleast fought in the freedom struggle. He was made PM(though he volunteered for it) because he was seen as person who worked for indias independence. Did Indira or rajeev or sonia do any work for party. did they arrange corporation lorry's to clean garbage or help people living in slum to move to a better place.

  yeah correct! then let the children do what their parents did i.e hard work and start from scratch. rather than start on a high pedestal and expect people to immdly trust them.
  
  TATA and ambani's are not relevant to this argument they just continue making products with same ingredients their father made. They make clones of old products their dad's made adding a little bit of their own innovation. thats what is expected of them
  
  Thats not what KR/YSR r supposed to do. they r giving new life/product each time and it wud be a shame if they did the same stuff their dads did because it wud be called copying.

  can u say the same thing abt YSR/KR. I personally like YSR and KR. But never because they r IR's sons.
  
  KR bought me with grahan (the best hfm music of the past 2 decades) and YSR with just "ithu kaathala". I still dont know what their respective 1st movies was? I did not buy them!

  But at the same time I feel there is nothing wrong to use their parents hardwork, image, etc., to launch them into their career. I totally agree if the guy doesnt have talent/credibilty, its very hard to sustain. YSR had to proove this with his films. Even though he is IR's son, if he doesnt deliver he will be out. But since he is showing good signs of work, there are chances.
  
  Also I would say you need not expect that everybody has to struggle in their life to be successful. It is not mandatory. Its only advantage for the next generation if their parents struggled. They already know about their parents struggle.
  
  One more question,Do you mean that if Rajiv Gandhi/Sonia etc., had gone and cleaned garbage it is OK for him to be a PM? If they arrange lorry's to clean garbage, then it is OK for PM? then I think you also need to change the way you expect others to change. Chautala, Laloo did all these stuff, but we know how good leaders are they.
  
  Manmohan Singh the Finance minister never was in politics, but he was one of the best Finance minister. We need leaders who can do best to country with their vision, who takes care that there is no garbage and raise peoples standards that they wont live in slumps, not just clean garbage and help move people to move to better place.

  good posting NM!, But I agree cleaning garbage is a very specific example and I also wud not consider it a neccessary and sufficient qualification!The struggle i was talking about was actually hardwork! and more pertinently *results* which invariably is the definition of genius/greatness.
  
  But imagine sonia, rajeev and rabri, people who have no connection with the actual work simply stepping into the shoes of the departed leaders. What qualification do they have that another person does not posess.
  
  In short! what non-musical-education qualificantion can YSR/KR have for them to be regarded better than lets say mani sharma or adithyan.
  
  u urself say that YSR showed results! so why not use results as a criteria than just a pure expectation that IR's son wud have the same "mandai" as IR.

  Who said? Probably their father's hard work gives them a launching pad and One's long standing is purely based on merit. Only time will tell who stands or who looses. So far they are doing good and public accepts them.

  I agree with with you 100% and that's my point exactly. People go on posting in every thread that YSR copied all songs(no proof after 100 postings). And that is pathetic and IMO is because of the fear that ARR's position is threatened.
  
  And there is another group blabering that no one should listen to YSR/KR (atleast that is the bottomline of their posting) because they are IR's son and came without hard work.

  My point is YSR/KR may/maynot be good. That is to be decided by their musical output. Not because they are IR's sons. It should be irrelevant to the decision of liking/not liking them.
  
  Simple and plain thats all. I responded to ur thread purely because of ur mention of Rajiv Gandhi... I disagree pre-approving the son of a "great Man" w/o any knowledge of what he is (in)capabale of.
  
  KR/YSR may/maynot fall into R.gandhi's category. I never said they r unworthy of any praise or they r not good. Just stating a general point.
  
  KR/YSR will automatically inherit their fathers financial wealth. As for his musical wealth well! they just have to go and get it themselves just like everyone else.

  abt YSR/KR just in a nutshell tell me what ur point is. Plz dont drag ARR support, fear of loosing ARR in this.I am now not even sure what u r trying to say after seeing ur postings.
