AR Rahman's Tamil Blockbuster "BOYS"

Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Here is what i found::

Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.

Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.

In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.

Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.

For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

  I know for sure that ARR had definetly composed 5 songs for BOYS, They were shooting for BOYS in Hobert in Tasmania at the start of the year at which point they had 5 songs with them.
  Shanker said that ARR had recorded 5 songs and that there were more songs to come. (This was in January.)therefor the claim that ARR only composed 3 songs for BOYS is incorrect.
  
  I know that Pravin Mani did the rhythm programming for some of the songs and I heard that he contributed towards a bit song called "Ayyappa"
  
  But Mr.LM,
  if it makes you feel better to abuse others by using whatever profanities you can think of, by all means, go ahead, believe everything you read, don't confirm information, you know what keep up your lovely vocabulary range. It's a pity that your "Wunderbar" moment, ain't gonna last that long.

  This is a dream come true!!! I mean we had all predicted ARR won't be able to deliver or scr*w up some thing. Now he really did it.
  
  Where are all the ARR fans now?? They wanted to hide and only surface when they thought Boys is a hit. But the starting is already a scr*w up. So now how are the kotte ARR fans going to console each other now? Are they still going to write more craps to console each other? Let's wait & see.

  Agreed this information could be wrong. The same way ARR already composed 5 songs could also be wrong. correct!
  
  What is the basis of you believing that news while skeptic about this news.
  
  For a comparison, When IR & TB fight was reported in one magazine, people were instantly believing it. Even after TB clarified in a recent news that there is no such indifference between him and IR, still people believe the old news.
  
  Why don't we measure all the informations reported in Magazines in the same scale? This is just my request.

  Well folks, here it is. ARR finally did it....AGAIN! Guess after Boys Shankar will seek out other MDs. He already went to IR for his advert. Guess that leaves only ManiRatnam on ARR's side. But that too may be a matter of time.

  Yes, it's true that Indians in Malaysia suffer from racial discrimination on a daiy basis. I remember in 1996, the Indian society in my university decided to invite Vairamuthu for a cultural event and the university committee didn't allow it *JUST* because we were Indians. All of the Indians in Malaysia are from India one way or another and I think we should support each other. Tamil music and movies are have been part and parcel of our daily lifes here in Malaysia and we should be thankful that at least we are able to watch and listen on a daily basis. ARR gave his first concert in Malaysia in 1996 because he knew the fanbase existed here. Ilaiyaraja is a well-respected legend in Malaysia as well. In the end, there will come a time in the future when we will need each other. Even though we live in a global village, the polarity is still there and all the Indians in the world should support each other whenever possible.

  So far, the fare is pretty disappointing. All tracks are fast numbers and none of them make an immediate first impact. Probably "Break the rules" might sound trendy in Chennai but I would be better off listening to Backstreet Boys/Britney Spears than listening to such routine pop numbers from ARR. I hope atleast some of the other songs are decent. "Yeh Yeh ennachu unakku" and "Vaan Nila tharum" from Kaadhal Virus were much better than these.

  if for u ,if the fare is dissappointing plz shut ut ears and f*** off..rather than spreading all these false info over here,....every1 who has listened r loving the songs and enjoying.....all the songs r rocking like hell....ofxourse i 2 accept with other ppl of the grp......much of the songs like parasuram...baba..and udhaya werent 2 arr's standards..........
