Hi all:

Many times we miss to notice certain songs which are too good, just because either the film goes for a flop or some other popular song in the film overshadows this one. Hearing such a song carefully will tell how superbly it is crafted. I will start with a couple of such songs :

1) Kanna Varuvaya (Manadhil Urudhi Vendum). The beginning humming itself is mesmerising. And the interludes are simply superb.
2) Chinna thayaval thandha rasave (Dhalapathi). Soga Rasam pizhiyum paadal. The tune of this song comes often in the BGM. The beginning, the interludes are too great! Its been a very long time I heard this song.
3) Keeravani Iravile Kanavile Paada Vaa Nee (Paadum Paravaigal). A beautiful one by SPB.

It's definitely not Mana kanakku, because the stars in Manakanakku Rajesh, Ambika. There is a good song in that movie too. En Mana Kootukulley Oru Kiliye Valartheney.... It was a good movie too.

2) Poovodu Kaathum Vandhu Pudhu Raagam Sollithara Araro paatu chatham ange irangi vara ... some Vijaykanth film, sung by IR I guess.

3) Malare Pesu Mouna Mozhi - by IR.

4) Adho andha nadhiyoram ilam kadhalar vazhum - Ezhai Jathi, by IR.

Anone remember the song from 'Oru Puthiya Kathai', Meena's re endry(or first movie) in Tamil Films. I think all of the artist in that movie were new, including MD, Director, etc. There is two good songs from that movie. Does anyone remember that?

the song "vaaraayo vaanmadhi" from the movie pagal nilavu is a very good song, but I think it was more sidelined by the other songs in the movie & I think it was ung by ramesh if I'm correct

The song "Vaanam Arugiloru Vaanam" from the movie "Nyaya Tharasu" is also an excellent song. Anybody heard of it.

That was a good song. I think the MD of "Nyaya Tharaasu" is SG. Am I right? Another good song of SG is 'Oh nenjae needhaan paadum geedhangaL" in some Bhagyaraj, Poornima starrer.

btw, i think 'nyaya tharasu' also has this song,
