ROTFOOL,
You played psychological games and gave so many INDIRECT anti-IR comments. Now after all the bashings, giving in izit?
I see that nowadays you're trying to get into the good books of IR fans. I see that you're slowly making your way into the appreciation of IR music.(For wat you have directed at IR and his music all this time, pls don't waste ppl's time now by slowly & tactfully giving INDIRECT positive remarks. And if you're saying that you were only getting at his fans....pls!. We know hypocrites like you).
What's the reason? Too long a lull period in ARR's output that you can't take it? A-waste-of-human-skin-like-u will only wait for ARR's music to come by and then start comparing and showing your 'superiority' and start condeming others. Animals like you, having already jump from bandwagon to bandwagon, are never sincere to any one. Pls don't listen to IR's music. It's an embarrassment for him and us. And for ARR's sake, pls don't embarrass him too.

Obviously you have not seen the true colours of this amb/potleen. It has no qualms of being vulgar and obscene in public forums.
Initially I used to respond to this Singapore pig's obscene posts but it was literally going after me. I am sure you too won't want a sexless creature tailing you all over. :)
Many people in this forum advised me to ignore this animal and its crap (courtesy RajaG) and after noting that no one responds to this unwashed foul-mouthed being, I too decided not to give in to its need to be abused.
Sorry if I hurt your sensitivities ... but you too should ignore any postings by or directed to this creature.

ROTFOOL,
I am not as dumb like you. I don't write to other ppl simply becoz they are ppl and act like ppl. Look now,
even other ppl notice you can't take criticism. You talk abt not seeing true colors of mine, but wait till others(many already have) get a load of you!. Wait till they know how you play psycological games just to bring IR and their fans down.
OK now, pls rebut to my original post.

Guys I heard the Ivan songs and they are good, but I didn't like Sudha Ragunathan. Her songs are pure classical songs, as though they are from her Katcheri. I don't thin that she works for film songs. She sounds as though she is trying to imitate Nithyashree in places.

Even I thought that Sudha was overly classical for Film music. I feel Chitra would have been a better choice.

Sudha, i wud still think, is a better choice bcos, all songs by sudha are for katcheri scenes...

is there any friction between spbala and illayaraja. I just cannot beleive that almost all albums from illayraja doesnt contain a single spb song for the past two years. the man with the golden voice who gave illayaraj's music a unique touch and the raja who gave spb maximum exposure are not to be seen togather. but raja should understand that but for spb many of raja's songs would not have touched great heights . It was spb who gave life and soul to the lyrics of vairamuthu and to the tunes of raja.

Chennu,
During the interview to Vijay TV some time back, SPB noted that unless MDs sing the songs suitable to their voice and swara, you can't expect good tfm.
I don't know who he was pointing out, but given the way things are, it won't be surprising if he meant IR, who takes the credit for spoiling maximum number of excellent tunes by singing them himself.

nowadays any body can sing any song and no qualification is necessary. when vikram wanted to sing opodu, the md obliged . then why shoud he chose spb in the first instance. do not think that when a singer sings a song, the music director has chosen him for it . the music director can ask any person to sing even you and I can sing

Sudha Raghunathan stated in a TV interview (Jaya TV) that she started singing without much gamakams/sangatis, but IR stopped her and asked to sing just as she would on stage. Does that explain why Sudha R didn't do a 'Chitra'?

she started singing without much gamakams/sangatis...
why? it is not that she cannot sing, she already knew there is not much freedom given!....but things have to change...you see

k, no, it might be directed against IR fans rather than IR ,
ir fans were name calling ARR on composing issues, just a while ago,
one more proof, when it comes to IR
arguments are just onesided here, :):)

I think it all depends on which side you take. I have been following this thread since 1993 and I have always felt that IR has been the one who has been unnecessarily tarnished on these more than others.
Even though I do not condone it, the logic for ARR bashing may be based on the fact those people would have reacted to IR bashing.
Such behavior is seen on both sides. A common thing I see is there is a group of probably 5 people who post every day and in every thread pouring their venom on IR.
Perception of music are individual tastes. Individual tastes, just like as seen with other consumer preferences, differ and there are different consumer segments with different attitudes and behavior. If someone does not like IR's music, it is ok to say so and not buy the album or listen to their songs. Where the discussions in these forums reach idiotic levels is when they expect others to have the same attitudes about IR's music or castigate those adore IR's music.
I for one have not been impressed by ARR's music, have my own opinion on why he has been commercially successful - so I just do not listen to his music - but I do not go thread to thread everyday to castigate everyone who listens to his music or try to convince others that his music is bad. I do not gain anything by either someone not listening to ARR's music or lose by someone listening to it.
It is similar vice-versa. I hope people see such wisdom and make this forum a more entertaining place to browse.

they so called "5" are doing this...so it is their wish, like you said "so much venon on IR", these guys are upset for so much venom on ARR.
we all know how arr is made fun for composing, given open hearted chances to singers to take part in the recording..check threads here.
Like you I am also here for a long time now, we all know which is more here "ir devotion" or "arr fanhood" :) take it easy Nothing personal :):)
