  Yes you've incompleted list. Some songs are missing from Gayathiri, Naan vazhavaipen, Patakathi bairavan. If you want, I can get back to you sometimes this week. I have those songs with me, they're not so popular because they aren't that great compared to the hit numbers from the same film.

  Pl. understand that it is not possible to include all songs from all films unless otherwise the songs are here on the net somewhere or are really popular/melodious. for example u wont find 'vaadi en kappakizhange' in alaigal oivathillai, because MS and i are particular about not including 'junk' songs.(songs that do not deserve to be included in our opinion) 'abishega nerathil' is one such song.

  That's a commendable effort.It would be better if you could use the help form Shibu also.Its my suggestion.
  By the by,since you guys are trying to collect all the songs of IR, i think it would be better to inlcude all the songs available in the net without discriminating good/bad song.It has IR's mark on it anyway!!

  We started this listing for our personal reference. But I thought it would be helpful for the fans if I could put the listing on the net. Hence this attempt. As Vijay said there are some songs which are not worthy of mention at all(may them be of IR, but still..). We have strict adherence to melodies when it comes to personal choices on songs.
  
  But I note a point in your post. I agree it can be subjective. Hence I shall add the songs/links as and when they are suggested to me either personally or in this thread irrespective of our likes/dislikes.

  First of all, I never said it was by Ilaiyaraja. I just wanted to see how partisan we are, if at all. It is indeed a very nice clip. And it is composed by ....
  
  none other than A.R.Rahman, for the film Kaadhal Desam. That film had good BGMs at several scenes. In some scene, I heard Titanic music very clearly. But, didn't Titanic came one year after KD? Wait, wait, I am not suggesting anything here.
  
  Recently I saw 'Bharathi Kannamma'. I was really impressed by the BGM. I didn't see the titles properly. I got confusion if it was by IR. Someone said it was by Deva. Then I got it confirmed that it as by Deva. I am not suggesting here that Deva did not copy, though I couldn't find any copied piece, as per my (poor) knowledge.
  
  I am getting a feeling that, majority of we Raja fans, get too overshadowed by our man and his music that we never accept/applaud good deeds by others. I may be wrong. How abt starting a new thread to discuss this. Ethanai peru kitta irundhu enakku kolai mirattal varap pogudhunnu theriyale.
  
  BTW, thanks to Sree/MS (do I miss anyone else?) who took time to listen to the BGM clip and gave their nice comments.

  This is the nicest plot I have seen in DF. hopefully I did not fall prey :-). Your words are in a way right, but not universally applicable. We have good fans in DF( call them objective). Kaadhal Dhesam is one of my all time favorite for the songs "thendralae", "Oh veNNila" and "anbe". Thx for enlightening me about the BGM. The film was repulsive and hence did not listen to the BGM very seriously. Thx for the clip.

  That's a good question. I have many CDs and lot of cassettes. Since, good old IR songs have been recorded when I was in India in the cassettes, removing the noise becomes a sort of challenging problem and in turn consumes lot of time. But, CDs don't take that much time.
  
  I still have quite a lot of melodies to be uploaded, though.

  Please listen to this one great song which was never mentioned by any of the Raaja fan so far. Great great melody:
  
  "Udhayakaalame Nanaintha Megame" by P.Susheela from the movie PANJAMI.
  
  This song was extensively worked for noise removal. Since many of you have requested that I concentrate more on 1975-80s songs, I have no choice but to work slowly for extensive noise removal. Therefore the uploads will be very slow (compared to my pace).
  
  Since people like Raj and others including Murali were too too curious about the kind of stuff I will be uploading in future.......PANJAMI is the answer to all of you. You can expect songs along those lines to flood your PCs....

  That site was excellant.I am great fanatic of western classical.but, frankly, i was bit disappointed to find midi files.Could you point out any site whcih has the original music?

  I think you got my point, eevnthough i didn't do a good job of explaining them earlier.Basically my opinion is that someone out there might like the "vaadi kippaakizhangaey song" while it might not interest both of us.So it should be a single site listing out all songs of IR.Though a bit tough job, we can achieve it with perservence and hard work.
