And, then follows some post exchanges between Senty and Sangameshwar, which all deal primarily with LOGIC SENSE in the film. My only addendum: Of course, most movies are logically imperfect, but, the degree of imperfection (as far as logic is concerned) is very much greater than most other "good" films.

Thanks Rajasaranam for revealing the truth about yourself. Thank you very much. But, do take a note that I am in no way like you. I never see a movie with 'any' expectations or with a pre-determined mindset. It's the movie, and the movie alone that makes me swing in either direction.
Also, let me tell you that I am NOT the type of person who makes a post, and then when somebody replies to them, is unable to back his own statements, and runs away with a lame excuse. You know who I am talking about don't you?

Greetings all!
I just saw Thirumalai and Jay Jay yesterday.
My 0.2®:
¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
Thirumalai: Nice characterisation. Would have been a great film had there been less heroism.
Jay Jay: A pretty usual film. Nice concept, but the way the story had been told was not as good.
Explanation:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
For those people who say that the characterisation in Pithamagan had been good, what do you say about the characterisation of the Thirumalai character in the film "Thirumalai". Okay, apart from the heriosm that had been unnecessarily (and, deliberately) mixed, (of course, Vijay has a huge fan base who expect to see such scenes).
I think Ramana had done a good job as far as characterisation was concerned, for it was as good (though not better) as that in Pithamagan.
But I wonder why still some people say that the characterisation of Sithan is great, and that of Thirumalai gets no nearer. Is it because they sort of think (or feel) better because they find seeing an unusual (or terrible) character to be one with next nature to them? Like I said before? (I am still searching for words to put it better...)
It is as difficult (or more difficult) to "CREATE" a character like Thirumalai than Sithan. "Sithan = A man in more proximity to Wild beings than Human". The entire characterisation is based on this one line. But, the character of Thirumalai, on the other hand, is tougher to etch, with all those scenes depicting "the character's" values, beliefs, ideas, et cetra. The latter commands more intellectual thinking compared to the former, for sure.
And, of course, I am not talking about screenplay or story or logic. (Which means they were bad, yes). My arguement is only concerned with "characterisation" that is _"talked about"_ to have been "fantastic" in Pithamagan.
Moving on to JAY JAY, first thing I notice is the nice songs. Saran's concept is good, but its implementation had not been as fine. And, of course, poor logic... (remember a temple elephant getting a 100-rupee note?, and a roadside Pani Puri stall-man accepting a 500-rupee note and returning the change?). Overall, a pretty usual or mediocre kind of a film...that we had not come to expect from Saran! And, I forgot, a good entertainment film for old teens and young adults...

Are you still talking about this lousy movie ?
Vikram crocks his head like a hen and thinks it is great acting! Poor chap. Combined with the stupid music of Raja it is dump of a movie.
