  As far as using KJY's gifted voice is concerned there is none better than IR. Whatever he says is true. Don't fall for the western culture. The problem is our music is much better. But our current MDs go after MTV type songs which has stupid lyrics. UditNarayan's disgusting tamil pronunciation is a testimony to how bad tamil music has become.

  They are both very good songs. "naan thEdum paadham...." is another one of those beautiful raaga based melodies composed by a lesser known MD, Sirpi. Chandrabose also has composed several beauties like that for KJY.

  I am trying to get links to MP3/CD's anything for the malayalm movie Sri Adhi Shankaran. It has some excellent songs.. Bhaja Govindam etc.
  
  Also there is another song.. Its a ragamalika by yesudas from some film. The song goes thus... Mayamalava Gowla Raagam, Mrudu maya bhairava raagam, Sangeetha kalayude Aadhima paadhathil sarasijam unarum raagam.. G M P GMPDN SNR S....

  By the way, KJY could have the greatest voice in the carnatic and he has rendered the best numbers.. but on the personal side he is probably the most arrogant personality i have ever met..
  just my humble opinion after having the opportunity to meet a lot of film/music personalities... Even Thiruvarror Bhaktavatsalam hates him on his personal side.. (for those who do not know.. TB is the mridangist of KJY.. I know TB very well)
  
  But, I still like KJY for his voice.. end of story!

  can someone here give me more musical details about that great song 'deva sabhathalam' from 'his highness abdullah'? like gv mentioned 'two versions of the raajamaalika'....what is that? raagamaalika?
  as u perhaps know, this song was a kind of musical 'duell' in the movie, between mohanlal and kaithapram. never ever heard anything like this before. are there any other 'duell'-type songs anyone can suggest me?
  btw, i have written down the lyrics of this song, if anyone is interested, i could forward it to u... but please mind, my manglish is perhaps not up to the standard manglish (if there is anything like this). i don't use capital letters to stress a letter and things like that, so u may need to know the song before...

  Hay guys, How about the song Thanni thotti thedi.. from Sindhu Bhairavi,compare with Mari Mari Ninne(Sindhu Bhairavi), it's two different things, i don't know how he manage that, that is Phathambhushan Dr. K. J. Yesudas.

  I heard that Dr. KJY has released/or going to release cassetts/ CDs on learning CARNATIC MUSIC.Of course carnatic has to be learned from a GURU personally, but if he releases CDs for learning this will be his greatest contribution to the carnatic music aspirants who want to learn music from a maestro like Dr.KJY. Can any one provide information regarding this. THERE IS NOT A SINGLE DAY WHERE WE IN OUR HOUSE DO NOT HEAR HIS SONG EITHER FROM HINDHI OR TAMIL. EACH ONE OF THEM IS A GEM.   Hello... I found one Nirmaalam song on musicindiaonline.com . You should be able to find it under Malayalam, and movies under N. Anyway, now that that's done, would someone please help me in finding some Yesudas music. The movie is called: Utharayanam and it was released in the early 70s. However, almost every site I seem to find has nothing on it... if anyone is searching sites, and sees this movie with songs, please respond here.

  Hello again. One more concern. Maverick, where in your site are the Mogamul songs located? I've been in just about every directory searching for them, and couldn't find them. Anything I missed?
