If SP Bala is so great , why has Bollywood rejected him?

SP bala never sings in hindi...he is not in demand!

By the way I am being devils advocate here, I myself am a great fan of SP bala but i would like the listeners reaction to this statement

  Read ur postings. I din't know that Sanu has sung in TFM. Ur absolutely correct that his voice suits Aryans, but not Dravidians.
  He has also sung 2 -3 Kannada songs, which are really very horrible to hear.
  Udit has sung so many songs in TFM, but only one song is ok in them it is AChacho Punnagai from ShahJahan.
  YEsterday, I heard a song from Anbe Sivam("Elo Machhi") and from Bagavathy("Vena Vena"), it was really very disgusting.
  Can't anyone ban from singers like Udit or Sanu from killing TAMIL!!!
  SPB is far better no no he is the best among the singeras now.
  NExt to him is Shankar Mahadevan.
  When compared to him(UDit), new comers liek Karthik, Srinivas are far better. Their hindi pronunciation is GOOD.
  Its only the supremacy of KIshore and otehr singers that made Balu to be unpopular in North.
  Like Lata did for Asha, Suman and others.

  well, I don't think so, I meamn Kishore has been singing till mid 80?, Ek tuche kilye came what in about 1982/83??, that was SPB's first hindi song, the next one I presume is "Saagar", SPB sang a duet with Kishore, SPB simply outperformed Kishore, no doubt about that.

  We talk about the the greatest SPB killing hindi(obviously not you two) when he quite honestly doesn't. How about these so called hindi singers..Abhijeet and Shaan, their pronounciation is hardly perfect...

  If there was some mistakes in my previous postins, I sincerley apologise for that. I am not saying that SPB , wasn't given any chances in HFM. But it was in lesser numbers. Coz, in mid 80s there were new singers like Sanu, Udit, and old singers liek Mahendra Kapor and many singers( I don't know there names), and there were given chances. I agree that Udit got a break only in 1988.
  Regarding, Shankar, I wrote what I felt. Coz, if u hear to his Breatless or Rind Poshmall(misssionm KAshmir) or 2 songs in Sangamam, u will understand about his voice. It is really good. I don't think I have written some thing wrong by placing hime next to SPB./
  You should remember FIRST is always FIRST and SECOND is Always SECOND.
  Here , First = SPB
  and Second = Shankar.

  Northies complain that SPB kills HIndi,but it is of no Proof.
  There may be a change in Hindi accent(I think spelling mistake), but he never kills HIndi.
  there own talents like Abhijeeth, or Sanu or Udit does make mistakes. Why can't they correct them.
  Now a days, there accent is changed. All they sing is like ENGlish songs. and Udit hindi accent mixes with Nepali accent.
  In them, Sonu NIgam, Shaan, Shankar, hariharan, Alka, Kavitha are good.

  I really dont understand how you can say that SPB outperformed KK in the duet they sang togather in the film Saagar. KK was better than SPB in that song. Also dont forget that it was a song recorded 20 yrs back when SPB was much younger and KK at that was quite old.

  Yes, SPB would have been around 36/37 yrs old when he sang for kamal in Saagar, Just listen to SPB's voice and then compare it with KK's voice, you will notice that SPB's voice is UNIQUE!

  accent differs from place to place, even in Tamil nadu, chenai accent is different to koiyamboothor, in SL, jaffna tamil is different Colombo tamil, on the whole SL tamil accent is completley different to Indian Tamils.
  
  But there is general language called tamil, now we can not SPB's tamil accent is bad, cos he can not sing in SL tamil accent, can we, that would be really pathetic :-)

  How are you ppl. BTW, what are u ppl doing, I am a student from Bangalore.
  I don't think that, SPB's Hindi is Bad. Sometimes somewords may go wrong, but no one is perfect. He is dedicated in his work, so his pronunciation is good.
  When compared to Udit's Tamizh or Kannada pronunciation, he is best. Udit boasts himslef as the only "TRUE VOICE", and DEDICATED SInger...
  He is really a waste person. I don't what happened to our MDs , why do they give chances to them.
  Bollywood din't reject Balu, Balu himself din't showed interest in that. As I have already menioned, time was killing him. HE was very busy in south INdia,
  lata is said to be a GREAT singer, she hasn't sung much songs in TFM, KFM,MFM or Tel FM, does this mean that she is not a Grerat singer?????

  raghu, i am the same old fan of spb, the mercurial genius in indian film music
  
  after a long time, i went to my friend's internet centre and just typed. See raghu lot of novice who do not know any thing about the versatile nature of our genius are comparing to some singers who by means of thier training in carnatic and other music have come to tfm.
  
  Singing film songs is quite different from doing a carnatic concert and all the newcomers are singing in the same voice with no modulation, voice sweetness, etc.

  I never complained about Sadhana sargam, she godd a very good voice, but Udit is one nasal singer, horrible voice!

  Sadhana Sargam is really a good singer. She is having a Good Voice better than, Bhavatharini and some other singers. Her pronunciation is also good.
  BUt UDit, he claims himself to be Dedicated but he is not like that. He is very proud of himself.
  HE is a bad singer. In Hindi , he may be at the top of the charts, but not in TFM/KFM

  "Lata/Asha/KK/MD din't sing much songs in TFM/KFM -- then anyone will DARE to tell them that THEY ARE GREAT BUT STILL kOLLYWOOD REJECTED THEM..?", as Kollywood rejected them , are they not legends of HFM..?
