Ramki: yes, 'chithamellaam enakku' rendering is only possible by TMS. TL.Kuttiraajan has also kalakkified.

Chandrababu collection is terrific. I listened to all the songs. Nostaligia is not a strong enough word to describe what I felt listening to that voice from the past. There is so much of Charlie Chaplin in him - how all his comedy including his songs has such an undercurrent of pathos. That is a real collector's list. Thanks for the upload.

You're right about Chandrababu's songs. His pathos
songs impress me more. Do you know who is the MD
for 'kumAra rAjA'? The style looks like VR, but
I am sure they didn't compose the songs. Perhaps SMS?

"kumAra rAja" MD yArendru enakku theriyAdhu though "onnumE puriyalE" is one of my all-time favorites.

Finally, "thankga radham vandhadhu veedhiyilE" and "thennangeetru oonjalilE"! Thanks a lot. I don't know how long it has been since I heard the second one. I loved the picturization. It is good enough to put you to sleep!

Jay and Bhasker made a request some time ago to
include a full set of songs in the
pazhaya pAdalgaLil bhArathi section. In
response to that, I have included all Bharathi
songs from the movie, EzhAvadhu manidhan.
I have also included CRS's classic composition of
chinnanjiru kiLiyE kaNNammA from NSK's
movie, maNamagaL. The song is sung by MLV and VN Sundaram.

Jay also suggested that Bharathi's songs from the recent
movie, 'Bharathi' be included in the page. If
someone can encode the songs and send them to me
and if there is no objection for putting those songs
on the net, I am quite willing to put them in
the page.

Yes. chinnanjiru kiLiyE is a wonderful
composition. I particularly like the part sung
by VN Sundaram. I also feel (I may be wrong)
that this song was the inspiration for
chinnanjiru vayadhil, enakkOr chiththiram..
of 'meeNdum kOkilA'.
