"NANDHAA" songs

The much awaited "NANDHAA" film songs (Music : Yuvan Shankar Raja, Direction : Bala) are being released today (21-10-2001). Kamal Hasan is releasing the first audio cassette and Bharathiraja is receiving it, at Hotel Connemara, Chennai.

The songs are totally fresh & different, and not the usual Yuvan's latino-type music. This album can easily be compared to some of the best of Ilayaraja when he was at his best.

Hear the songs and enjoy.

  If Nuetral Fan could post amazing instances from the net about how bad PP music is (that too in this thread which has nothing to do with PP), here goes...a more relevant ranting about Nandha, by none other than Madan from Kumudam.

  I still remember what review Kumudam gave for Nayakan, That too for ThenpaNdich cheemaiyilee song, So I won't give any care to Kumudam Reviews !
  
  I can't comment on PP 'coz I haven't seen the movie yet, But Nandha BGM was quite good - Bala has given lot of scenes with less dialogues and Yuvan handles them very well ! I have indicated this in my review in tamil.sify.com

  I too read the review of Madan. Madan did not review Nayagan..FYI.
  
  Yes, madan has mentioned that BGM was not that good. I did not see the movie. I heard the songs twice completely. Okay, for a sombre film you can't expect more. Okay..kind of song. But, SPB made a mere tune into a catcy one. I don't remember the song , but SPBs pitch modulation in that song was amazing.
  He is a great man, but song mad fanatic of his, in this forum totally irritate our feelings about SPB. Atleast, they should understand that now.

  The two reviews by tamilcinema.com and tamil.sify.com confirms that the movie is indeed well made.
  
  How come Kumudam has missed the point and made a mundane review about this film. Kumudam review looks totally biased.

  Dorai, karthik & common friend....Madhan might not be a carnatic music expert but he not totally ignorant either. He has a 'good ear' for music. He called "KUTTI"'s songs/BGM as excellent in KUMUDAM earlier, while many other reviewers did not even mention about the music factor. Thus YSR can see if what Madhan said in the review holds water...while accepting or rejecting it is his own discretion...

  :-)Not meant to offend you Karthik, but really, i need to point out that you need to spell words correctly. It is to be spelt as "Neutral" and not "Nuetral" as you have been spelling.This is what happens when we really really go mad at someone. :-)

  the music for the movie nandhaa was absolutely great
  the songs munn panniya and kalli adi kalli are simply great
  the songs perfectly match the movie,its characters
  .....
  it may not function as a album but it suits the movie perfectly

  You're right. Nandhaa is running housefully in all theatres whereas Alavandhaan, Shajahan etc., are "ee adichufying" :-) Thavasi is in the second place (collectionwise).

  This madan is a jingjang koste for kamal..that's why he has written review of the nandhaa film as not good..this is identified as true as this week madan does not done the review of Alaavandhan in kumudam...so guys dont think of kumudam review..other than this guy all reviews told that nandhaa is a good film to watch...

  Sun Tv is going crazy now a days.In the top 10 songs it rates Shajahan,Alavandan and Thavasi above Nanda and PP.
