ALAVANDHAAN - fails miserably?!?!?!?!?!?!?

This 'so-called' film critic from REDIFF.COM says 'ABHAY' (Hindi Version of ALAVANDHAAN' is a crap movie. The link is given below...

How crucial was 'music' a crucial factor for a film like ALAVANDHAAN?

  But what you consider 'insignificant' some others consider 'significant and important'. That's basically where fans of 'Alavandaan' and critics of 'Aalavandaan' differ. This is nothing new, however. This same scenario was earlier created with Hey Ram and Guna and so on.
  
  Kamal knows this too. That's why just to get us all on the same page from time to time, he comes out with movies like 'thenali' and 'pks'.
  
  What I find really outrages is the theater owners in Canada deciding to do some additional editing
  to films like 'Aalavandaan' and 'Hey Ram', but leaving crap like 'paarthale paravasam' intact.
  But, I suppose you would think it is a good thing, since they are only cutting out 'insignificant' scenes.
  
  Anyway, have you watched the latest Vijayakanth starer? You might find some 'significant' things in there that 'Neutral Fan' I'm sure will find 'insignificant'.

  see! again and again ur missing the point! I saw the movie and got what it said. I DONT need neutral fan to explain to me his version of the movie...
  
  i didnt say the specific scenes were insignficant but i said neutral fans explanation of it was.. and that too much overhyped.
  
  b.t.w I liked guna! and hey ram! very much I find nothing wrong with those movies because inspite of the latter being long it had a relevant consistent screenplay... i wasnt distracted by the graphics either...
  
  the point i wanted to convey was him putting down other peoples intellect and preaching from atop about the movie... and how intellectual he was to understand the movie and how others did not...
  
  okay since you are insisting so much, i wud with reluctance and go and dig out neutral fans points and see what they r...

  yes! because raveena was in that room sometime before... he maybe wants to project that nandu has develeoped the ability to retain the specific smells of a particular person! maybe he caught up raveenas smell in the jail when he met her and so his mental ability was good enugh to retain that memory...
  
  still nothing big in this.... except i know he can smell her!

  i immdly believed he took-off from T-2 where arnie wud pursue his prey at any costs at any destruction by any means...
  
  again the idea was correct but picture this.. all roads are empty the only vehicles are vijay and nandhu's... okay... nandhu's truck blows up...
  vehicle x appears in scene ...nandhu takes hold of it... now vehicle x and vijay'car are in the scene and now vehicle x is smashed .. immdly vehicle y appears... and so on....
  
  to me this was BAD. this was bull crap and very badly executed... my example of a good idea that was made to look artificial and stupid because of execution.. it looked as if the vehicles appeared in assembly line for nandhu to take it and smash it...
  
  the baloon thing: nandu just jumps out of the window.. not knowing whats outside ( if he knew then they didnt tell us and that is BAD )okay i can digest the fact that there cud be a balloon which wud transport nandhu to the other end of the street.. the graphics in this specific scene was 3rd rate though.. very bad .. and was against the normal run of the movie...
  
  but vijay jumping through that baloon.. was horrible.. well u can say a lot of things like if nandu cud do it so can vijay but that succked big time.... bad graphics again.. it resembled rajinikanth in manithan diving and catching grenades and throwin it back.. that bad...

  it was just a pithy one liner like the one that comes in james bond movies .. which meant kamals knife was bigger.. it was a cool thing to say before killing someone.. thats all thats there to it..no scizophrenia stuff.. so if wanna add more complex explanation to this simple scene go ahead and do it i dont believe it...

  again i dint mind the cartoon scenes at all.. in manishas murder instance.. i knew she wud die before she actually did and so i wasnt impressed.

  i didnt think it was done to avaoid A certificates because i know very well they wud give an A even if it was a cartoon! I have explained this before dont need to do that again!

  sorry! I told it before and i am saying it again... even if a scizophreniac changes his mind randomly.. this story cudnt afford to... the tail cant wag the dog... kamal by that time with war paint all over him had already turned into a very artificial cinema scizophreniac... it was more like seeing godzilla by that time...
  
  forgetting raveena and going after vijay was a not a flaw but just a bad way to execute a story.. thats all... you immdly feel the whole affair is pointless and you already come to know nandhu will die...

  whats the big deal....are u going to say kamal was afraid 1 of them wud become like nandhu...
  
  so are you saying... nandhu was a scizophreniac from birth or because of genetic disorder...
  
  so then why show the irrelevant step-mother scenes..if nandhu didnt become a mental case because of induced circumstances... are you going to convince us ..that the step mother brought out the hidden scizophreniac in nandhu...

  if kamal movie fails, it means movie is too or 3 or 4 complicated to understand for a normal human being. So people having IQ below 99 don't go and dont complain.
  
  Infact next time (if there is one) Kamal should print a konar guide explaing how to watch/understand the movie,
  It will be helpful to educated the normal people to get the plot in the movie.

  its the complex inner psyche of jerry that is the reason. According to Dr. Norman Theordeo of CalTech Institute of psycological sciences. Jerry's left cortal lobe has a dense nerve structure , the way the cells are alingned prompts jerry to chase blue things.
  
  Tom has a odor that incites jerry's nerves and it goes to chase tom. thats the deep under meaning trend.

  we all have to grit, gripe and slug it out like the next man does.
  
  it is one of the unfortunate facts of life :-)
  
  it is for ONLY this reason I would like to be in kamalhaasan's shoes. Among all other innovation he brings into his movies he makes sure he does justice to his ex-"kadhal mannan" tag. He still remains the kadhal-mannan!

  Kamal padam vandhaa udanae, ellorum nakkeerar aayiduveengalae? Aen? Why this double standard? Atleast, he's trying something different in his movies. Try to appreciate it. Avvalavu kastapattu yaaruppaa, ungala padam paaka sonnaa? Ennamo varra ellaa padangalum super-aa irukkira maathiriyum, kamal mattum thaan "SORI" padam edukkira maathiriyum ninapaa???
  
  Why cant u guys do this part by part analysis for a rajini or someother hero's movie? How about padayappaa? Superb movie by all technicality, right? Etthanai flaws antha padatthula??!! Onnaa rendaa??? That too, it's an old old, old, nobody knows how old the script it is. Did u see anything new in that movie?
  
  If u dont like aalavandhaan, leave it. Who cares? Someone might like that. It's a good attempt in tamil cine field. Summaa, kamal eppidiyaa attha panraar, ittha panraar appidinnu kaelvi kaetkaatheengayyaa... Hollywood movies-la pannaa mattum visil adichu paapeenga. Athae, nammaalu orutthan try pannaa, athu porukkaathae.
  
  I am not against criticizing about a movie and acting. But, this is too much. Padam remba neelam , athu unmai thaan. Enna panrathu athukku? Ellaarum, eppavumae makkal taste-kku aettha maathiri padam edukka mudiyaathunga, sir:) Appadi paatthaa, Spielberg innum Jurassic park maathiri padangal thaan edutthuttu iruppaar. Oru Saving Private Ryan-o, illai, AI-o edutthurukka mudiyaathu. Too many people criticized about AI too. Enna panrathu? Kamal cud have thought of making Aalavandhaan, a better movie, may be he cud have failed miserably. Sarippa, Wish u all the best next time, appidinnu appreciate panra vazhakkamae kidayaathu.
