Kadhal Virus Review

"The album kicks in with the very catchy ye ye ennachu sung by Vasundhara Das in manner that only she can. Next is a beauty of a ballad sonnalum by Unnikrishnan and Harini.

Vaan nila by Srinivas and Karthik is a highly innovative rock-n-roll track that would not let your feet rest. S P Balu is in his usual fantastic form in the heart warming yenthan vanin. Rahman takes off again into a very progressive FTV style track in bailmore with T R Simbu and Tippu doing the vocal honours. And the album ends on a grand note with Mano and Clinton going for the gut with o kadhale, which also sits on an emotional high note in the movie.

Kaadhal Virus has all the ingredients of a typical Kathir-A R Rahman soundtrack. A great mix of upbeat youthful tracks and soulful ballads"

  KV is really nice piece of work frm ARR after a long gap. I don't think that baba or any other movie after rytham didnt get really nice music frm ARR. This is the time when ARR prove himself to TFM that he is still exist !!!. I personnaly like sonnalum, vann nila n ye ye. Thumbs up ARR

  U cannot compare a melody song and a fast number ..If u want to compare u should compare that Idyama song and the song sung by unni krishnana in Kadal Virus ....
  
  i feel the songs are good ,but not as AR Rehman produced 3 years before ...

  wow! dis s wonderfull song of 2002.unnikishan sung very very beaty of his voice also harini.both of these singers voice amzing when they sing together its nice to listen.no1 cat break this couples.also every1 knows AR Rahman s a best tamil & world music director.finally i love dis song.this should get NATIONAL AWARD.

  uselss songs! arr is gone!
  kaadhal desam, kaathalar dhinam was amazing
  this one is doesnt even evoke any interest at all
  all songs are pathetic!
  what happ to him, i can think of his last good album alaipayuthey!
  just compare alaipayuthey and these songs!
  I still listen to alaipayuthey!
  rahman is a genius but he is not interested in music(tamil music) anymore.
  Fame gets to the head of many ppl and its proved correct
  thats it!
  nothing else from arr!

  So 4 out of 5 songs 'are really good'... funny you people, and that still doesn't make a great album...wonder what makes one then...
  
  And maybe culturally you peeps are not ready to accept bailamore as a great song but it's one of the better trance/techno songs out there. Different doesn't necessarily mean bad y'know...

  Guys I take back my previous comments... KV is good.... I like all the songs including Bailamore... O Kaadhale is my favorite.
  
  Eventhough it is not upto ARR level, but it is still better than all other albums around.

  Hey..
  I was keepin quite all this while and had heard it only 1ce.. so i was kinda "hey, what's wrong??"..
  now that i've heard it over and over, it's sunk in.. am humming those songs all the time.
  At first, i thot Ae Ae ennachu and Sonaalum were just OK.
  now, it's amazing! Sonallum gives me that peaceful feel, tho i must admit it has a bit of "nee than en desiya geetham" in it. But who cares??(this is a rhetoric qn.. i can rattle off names of those who do care! ;) ) Brilliantly executed by Harini and UK.
  
  3rd track is mindblowing! Karthik and Srinivas have really given it their all. 1st time i heard it all i heard was "thamizh thaano".. now i guess i'm able to get what they're singing.. :)
  r they fast!
  
  and mano sounds sooooo much like SPB!

  KV is just another average album, but I think that everyone is getting carried away because his prior releases were so poor that it show KV to be something great. ARR has not yet come back to his standard that he had in AP, KK KK, or anything before that time. From KV i got traces of Netru Illaatha Maatram form Puthiya Mugam, Thoda Thoda malarnthathenna from Indira, Poove Vaay pesum Pothu from 12B and a few other parts here and there. ARR is obviously putting less effort into his Tamil songs.
  It is such a shame, as if he had continued at the standard he was in up till 2000, there wouldn't be so much competition for him in the form of YSR, KR, HJ and VS.

  i guess ur 2 much carried away ,u want music 2 be composed only for u,but he has composed for the masses,am sure KV will reach the INTERNATIONAL audiene with the kinda of feel it has,as far as i know all those ppl who have listened 2 the album strongly feel its THE ALBUM of the yr 2002 without doubt just coz its xceptional...may u dont like it ,its urs personal opinion dont bring in others for that......bye!!!!
