Sandiyar renamed as Virumandi and cassette released

The most awaited sandiyar album is released .I heard all the songs.It has totally ten songs out of which 6 songs are sung by kamal himself and two are sung by illayaraja and 2 numbers by shreyaghosal.All the songs are perfect folk and 100% traditional tamil folk songs and the lyrics are excellent in the madurai slang and all are situational songs.I will meet u again with a detailed review.buy the album immediately for die-hard fans of IR

  Excellent movie! Kamal has done an interesting job of marrying Heisenberg's uncertainty principle with a tale seeped in the rich culture and heritage of the rural south. A milestone in indian films.

  Saw Virumaandi,SUPER!. Thats the one word to say.
  
  Even I came to know the bits and pieces of story, but there are new twists
  the film is both commercial cum classic.
  all has lived in their roles.
  Songs are less used and comedy is also less but full of action, love and bravery, even patriotism.
  
  In Box office, i dont know will it be a blockbuster or not, but not a flop,
  it will satisfy all catagories of people
  As kamal is an innocent villager, no english dialogs or city based tastes,
  not even one charecter is wasted, each charecter is well defined.
  The screenplay is a bit modest.
  Playback is less used.
  To say about cons, now i dont feel anything as negative, i have to see once again

  i saw the movie in bangalore multiplex and to say in one word- very incoherent screenplay,confused climax(i.e. bollywood style of climax where all unimaginable things could happen) and a very bad screen play - as it neither tried to say anything on thooku ---kamal you wasted our 3 hrs of time

  Reviewers, kindly refrain from giving important details about twists and turns in the film that would spoil the movie watching experience of people who have yet to catch the movie in their cities.
  
  A few excited fans gave some crucial details and discussed the climax in detail of movies such as Pithamagan in some threads.
  
  PS: Ananda Vikatan and Kumudam reviews should be strictly avoided, as they have the reputation of being spoilsports, revealing all story details.

  Hi Everybody,
  I saw Virumaandi y'day in Bangalore. Frankly speaking I'm not so interested in that movie b4 since I saw some clippings in the TV n I didnt like it v much. Also the way the movie started also made me to feel bad If i've wasted my time n money.....But after some 45 minutes the screen play took me to seat corner, esp the screen play thereafter 's so good till the end without any drawback....The movie really brings out the talents of Kamal & IR. esp the song Unna Vida's so good...n the saraangi instrument's also used in between that songs which fortells some tragedy is going to happen... even sandiyare song sung by Shreya goshal is also good.... To say in short n sweet this movie is one of the master pieces of Kamal & IR. Its worth watching the movie...it may not be a super hit but will be a good hit like Mahanadhi......

  You're right. Even the Sify review gave a lot of the details of the plot. Most of these reviews talk about the plot in detail and say very little about everything else.

  This guy Thurai. Arul Ravi on dinamani.com has given a thumps up to all the movies including Soori, Kovil, Engal Anna, Joot etc.
  
  The only one he didn't seem to like is Virumaandi.
  
  So by induction,if Kovil and Soori are your kind of movies. then Virumaandi probably won't be. But if you are a little more intelligent than the average Gallery seat fan, then you will like Virumaandi.

  In Dinamani review, paragraph after other it says this is good, that is excellent and blah blah. But the last line on Kamal's direction is a "Ulta" of all what is being said in the previous paragraphs. Only the writer knows about what he means.

  I have seen Viru with my wife and coursin ( 20 year old). Both did not like it. I did enjoy it but felt prison escape is too long. I will guranty this movie is going to flop. mouth publicity from Tai kulam and podiangal does not favour Viru.
