tamil lyrics vs hindi lyrics

Does " chanda rey chanda rey" (sapnay) match up to the visual beauty that "vennilavey vennilavey" (minsara kanavu) evokes? For that matter are hindi lyrics of tamil dubbed movies of the same calibre as the original? Or are they better?
Anyway, how ARE they written? Does the director brief both the lyricists on the situation and let them come up with their own lyrics or does one of them write and the other transcreates ? Speculate here....

  as to the question; it seems to me that tamil in general has more syllables than hindi, making the overall sound of tamil better; it maintains beat better. as to translation, given that the majority of AR Rahman's hits are in tamil, the original meaning lies in tamil. The hindi remakes therefore have two options - straight translation where its the same meaning but no rhyme, rhythm, etc. or translate to rhyme, in which meaning is lost.

  Yes AR Rahman Fan. Tamil has way better rhyme and beat to it. Not even in hindi songs can they keep a good beat to songs. They have to have 2 or three different words stuck there to make it sound a bit better.!! TAMIL IS BETTER
