Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  Yes. But IR failed many many times and is continuing his string of failures even now (except 1 song from Pithamagan). And those songs which are not "liked, passionated, and crazed" are forgotten and are never again recapped.
  
  On the other hand, a good share of ARRs songs are liked on the first hearing itself. Atleast one song per movie (with few exceptions ofcourse). But those which dont impress you on the 1st hearing will take you on repeated listenings and finally you may get addicted. Ofcourse I am talking about normal people.

  My dad tells me that kodi is kozhi in telugu. If the singer was telugu and she sang kodi by mistake (hopefully the character in the movie singing the song is telugu), ARR, vairamuthu and Mani goofed up badly. At one point she says sandh instead of Sanda, rendering the following lines out of context
