Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  I am Rahman fan too, i have almost all his cassettes and cds.

  I Need a small help.
  
  I am not able to play AE cd (Sony music) on my computer, works fine in all other devices, just want to make mp3s using cdex so that i can use the cd on the move.
  Probably the cd is encoded, is there a software to get the cd spinning?

Music-vanthu pothu, we should appreciate the good and niceties about it. If there is a hearing displeasure, then we need to find ways to change it rather than saying SOMEBODY should be jailed it not MATURE.

  I revert my earlier assessment after several hearings of the songs. All songs in AE are good.
  ARR has put some real efforts after a long time (since Lagaan).

  I am already accustomed to AEs music but this being a commercial film by MR I am surprised the music is in no class of TT or dilse.
  Probably MR consciously wanted ARR to experiment and it has worked, I read rave reviews everywhere, may be I am the odd one here :)

  Actually Paran...
  I felt AE has a class of it's own.. Somewhat like Boys. Very classy.
  The whole sound of Dil Se had a mystic feel to it.. like an exotic Arabian undertone running through..
  Thiruda Thiruda was as expressive as it could get when it got very percussive! :) Brilliant rhythm.
  
  But AE.. It's got this classy feel to it. (IMO). The first time i listened to it I felt it lacked something too. But the songs grow on u and how! Now I'm totally hooked to it.
