decent album by YSR (i would have felt it was better had he done sumthin different from ullam)

first song by hariharan awesome

to me tracks 2-5 or just okay because similair to ullam

and track 6 experimental stuff by ysr will take a few listenings to see if i like that song

  Piratheepan why are you trying to bring down YSR all the time. For smebody who doesn't have much faith in his music, you sure post in threads about him an awful lot.

  Mainave Mainave by VS can be found in the interludes of the Hariharan song.and then the
  last two songs sound awfully familiar to sum english songs but i cant put my finger on it.
  
  Nattamai wants to take him up realli realli high i just want to bring him(YSR) back to earth.hes good but not great.he has a ways to go.but he isnt a IR or ARR he'll always be a #2, doesnt have that special sumthin that makes a ARR or IR.
  
  I like YSR's music but i dont think its as gr8 as sum ppl would say it is.the only times its that good was Thullavatho Illamai and Kadhal Kondein.

  yes after IR and ARR id say YSR BUT what im saying as him being a #2 MD is that when IR came to tfm he revolutionised it from his entry same with ARR he brought tfm to the next level and continues to do so. Im waiting for another big entry and i dont think YSR is that person.He is good but not great.he is current #2 in TFM.

  I differ with your opinion. When IR entered, there is a void for good music. His entry was so successful. When ARR entered, IR\'s monopoly was there and arr came with some new sounds to break it. He succeeded. Now there is no monopoly and everybody has access to the new sounds. Trying to do what IR and arr did is (will be) almost impossible. So whoever comes up with good music, people will enjoy. That is the reality.

  It is very difficult to decide the number one position in TFM, now.

  First of all you cannot say something like that!
  The year is not even over yet, we have like another 8 months or so of the year 2004. Also, there are many other MDs who will produce hit albums!
  So you should wait till you say something like that yep, so technically itz not really the "best album of the year" haha in my opinion though.

  I don't think these albums created any interest like annakili or roja did. They are just 10odu 11. These albums even did not attain the level of minnale to speak the truth. My point is what IR and arr did in their first movie will be really really difficult to do it again by some newcomer. If at all someone tries to do it, he needs to follow IR's footsteps. MSV and IR used same instruments when he entered. IR's success was due to his composing style rather than relying on sounds. Slowly IR upgraded his systems, that is a different story. I believe just using new sounds one cannot break the scene now.

  -the new sounds bit i said was regarding this.yes new sounds alone won't be enuff for a newbie to make it big.

  -these albums?which albums are u talkin abt?Boys & AE?if so the two rahman albums did alot more business then minaale as for as noise and buzz abt minnale yes it was more because it was made by a newcomer,too bad he couldnt keep his quality up past his first movie (HJ that is).
  
  
  I still feel there is plenty of room for change and new style in tfm, i had thought pravin mani would have been the guy after hearing little john.but then he faltered with otran.same with D Imman hs Kadhale Swasam was out of this world, but his following albums sucked.
