  I am sorry for the confusion. I just used the general terms of "Master tapes" and it doesn't mean that it is sort of some regular 90 mt Sony HIFI tape!! It is in surround sound format and is being taped on the format only!!

  Just for clarification purposes, here is a copy of an earlier mail from Sony and they used the word "MASTERS" only and in my 'aarvakkoLaaRu', i have used the term 'tapes'. Hope this clarifies!!

  SSSSAV, thanks for kind of subdued praise of King. In this forum i have been around in various "Avatars" almost since the beginning, and got really stuck because of the burning issues music was going thrr ;---)!!
  
  This today' posting of tis-usa.com i just kinda felt a pang of regret, almost gave a heart attack not because of "subdude" praise of Mr. King, which more or less underplays the whole drama of it all, but for the fact that i became a booda kind of - i mean, i got enlightenment: this is what happened to me:
  
  Why the HECK DIDN'T I learn recording engineering?
  With that, why the heck didn't I join SONY?
  If so, I would not only BE ONE OF THE FIRST TO LISTEN TO IR'S WORKS, BUT ALSO ENJOYED IT IN THE MOST ADVANCED SOUND SYSTEM
  
  not only that, I WOULD'VE DONE THIS WHOLE PROJECT FOR FREE RIGHT THERE (SEE, I HAVE A SOLID JOB IN SONY AND THEN, i would've said IR Sir, I will do this whole project free, provided you do one more like this soon.)

  Internet Music Stores like iTunes, MSN Music, Napster, Walmart.com amd MusicMatch are other options to cater to a worldwide audience. The number of people walking to a store and buying a CD has reduced when compared to the number of people buying legal music online. I hope my suggestion reaches those concerned. My 2c.

  Also $15-20 is a bit high for the general junta in India.

  Guys, the TiS site says that if we can achieve a target of 50,000 pre-publication orders,Sony or Universal would willingly and enthusiastically come around and our dream of taking Thiruvasakam for Grammy consideration will be a realistic possibility
  
  That is possible only, if 5000 of us give orders for 10 CDs each, or 2000 of us give orders for 25 CDs each - either way it is a strange situation - for proper professional global marketing, we need either SONY or Universal - but to get their label, we need to have 50,000 pre-pub orders - and for that, we need to some minimum marketing amongst ourselves!

  I have a small point to mention in this forum. Iam a HCIRF and iam also awaiting very eagerly the release of TIS.
  
  Referring to the update in Tis-usa by Fr.Jegath stating "But the bitter truth is that international brands like Sony and Universal don't care much about South India"
  
  My querry is all that how did Sony release ARR's Vandematarm. Though i do not know the background of this particular release , i could only remember reading that the top official of sony after hearing V.M said that they just want to release this album.
  
  For kind information of all IR fans , this posting is not a comparison of TIS with V.M and ofcouse i know that the TIS would definitely carry more weigthage in terms of its musicalvalue and approach.

  None of audio companies them are here to do service to Music, they want money and it is natural that they show less interest in south indian as the market is very less and also their previous failures make them even more hesitant and that too for a non-film albu, it is highly risky.
