Humming before songs....

Y'day i listened to the song "Rasave Unna Nambi" Janaki's masterpiece.. i still feel she should have shared the award with chitra(sindu bhairavi) for that year's best female playback singer.

It starts with beautiful humming.. it is awesome... actually the humming is different from song tune

  I can remember a couple of T. Rajendar songs
  Oru Pon maani naan kaana - Maithili Ennai Kaathali
  There is another song in Oru Thaayin Sabatham, there are two versions of that song which has a beautiful humming too.

  Yea right.. this is called point.. we will promote you as prosecutor. He gave a couple of songs and left at that. he didn't ask how can you forget as if it is "national anthem". I could sense you are slowly bringing an ARR and IR fight.. go pick some other thread.. so there is a difference between him saying IR rules and you saying ARR rulez..   I gave a list too.. Are u blind or cant count? or dont have the patient to see the next post? You are worthless man.
  The small list i gave is more rich than the bigger ones(by #s) in the post. Each songs humming start is just hummable!
  
  ARR and IR are two genius working hard to produce quality music. But i happend to be ARR fan, and i didnt say anything against IR.

  I listed Nila Kaigirathu and En veetu thotathil.. both ARR songs.. it is just that you didn't notice. Inspite of the fact i listen to all The Corrs, Nelly Furtados, Enyas all the movie soundtracks including lord of the rings, harry potter, beautiful mind... etc. i grew up with IR songs. Those IR songs entered into my memory when i was young. They are virtually unerasable. That's why IR songs pop up from my head faster than other songs. I gave a list of MSV songs also, 1 song of maragatha mani.. 1 of Vijaya baskar. I tried to be as fair as possible.

  Oh really who said Pop is a lifestyle.. Pop is a genre Laden. It is an abbreviation of Popular.
  How come Nelly is at No.4 in billboard charts? It was at no.1 couple of weeks back. My primary musical choices are soundtracks from movies. I have created a seperate folder for soundtracks alone. How can you not possibly like Enya? All you have to be is a human being. Her song "May it be" from Lord of the Rings was nominated for Oscar. Her spellbinding voice blew me away. So you have neither heard Enya nor Nelly. All you know is they are females. Come out of shell. I will tell you what to listen starting from 50s.

  oh! rasikkum seemanae -- has O pottified as humming. what film? who is the singer, MD? i guess its by pre-MSV&TKR era MD.
  
  i guess "town bus" has one all female song which has a humming before the song(but i guess the MD is MSV&TKR). similarly aduththa veettu peN has one. if we could dig in the historical kind of movies in which anjalidevi has acted we could get many humming-before-song type of songs.

  MSV did the greatest experiments with humming."Siripil undagum Ragathile " from "Engirutho Vanthal".TMS (Sivaji) indentifying the swaras in PS (JL) singing.
