  U guys are just amazingly unpatriotic towards an Tamil wonder man. How can u hate a Tamilian so much who has brought so much pride to this Tamil. Mumbaiites compare ARR to R.D.Burman and S.D.Burman, Britishers like ALW and times journos proclaim ARR as Mozart of Madras and Tamilians call him the sin of their land. wah wah kya baat hain, this is patriotism and tamil spirit at it's best. keep going guys. gr8 work.

  No it is not being unpatriotic maddy. I would call your postings on ARR fanatical. I believe that ARR is a jewel for India, but for that, I won't sing his praises overly for something that does not deserve it.

  thats what i'll say when listening to HJ, YSR..
  they just keep repeating their tunes..
  vidyasagar is good...
  Ilaiyaraja...hmmmm i just don't seem to enjoy his latest songs anymore...he's not as good as in the 80's....his time is bygone... his latest Manasellam sucks big time...i feel sick hearing the BGM score in that movie...
  
  For ARR, he will come back with a bang...just mark my words..HJ & YSR will never go beyond TFM... people will start to irk their repeating tunes in future songs...for sure their tunes will be the same..no changes...
  
  ARR should just concentrate on giving quality music...thats all ..he just don't have to worry or care whether his music will be mass hit or not..sensible people like ARR fans will look foward in listening to ARR's quality songs...
  good albums like ANTHIMANTHARAI & IRUVAR are not mass hits, but there are real good quality album...thats what ARR fans expect from him.... just good quality albums...and HE WILL PROVE IT !!

  Look at ARR fans' language and IR fans' language. Actually Fans are an indication to an artist's quality. so guess urself IR's quality and ARR's Quality.

  i just saw this news on BBC website, it is a few months old but it clearly say and i quote

  and please dont bother to compare ARR with local MD. it is like this, when i am taking abt tendulakar and praising him, suddenly you start saying that sachin is nothing and there is a boy near your house who plays at the play ground nearby and nobody over there can get him out. arey yaar, that guy barely managed to play at the national level(cos he ant survive even that), let alone the international level, and you want to compare him to sachin. now if some of u guys still didnt understand what i am saying, then in the story ARR is like sachin, who has got national and international acclaim for his "score" and the guy next door is your IR and the new local jokers like HJs and YSRs

  YSR just does not stand a chance of becoming the next no1 if he keeps copying ARR like he did in 'Punnagai Poove'. if you watch this movie you will see that he as shamelessly copies 'beat of passion' from taal by ARR. he didnt even bother to change it a bit.

  i think u havent heard Boyz yet, listen to "Girlfriend" song and decide urself where does ARR stand. Man i even feel ashamed to compare ARR with such small MD's like YSR cos it is like comparing Gautam gambhir with "Sachin Tendulkar".(I refer Sachin here to ARR).

  hai maddy i jus got to listen to the song - secret of success". i was able to download only that. do u really think this is meaningful music if rahman has done this for a musci album which wud play in mtv or channel v then i wud really appreciate him. but he doesnt know the ground rules for indian or tamil film music. if he is going to do the same thing over and over he ll be driven out of film music scene. well i do wish him to be a success in competing with britney , mariah, bsb, boyz2men etc., of western pop artists like them. let him leave film music alone there r many people here who can create meaningful film music.

  The film itself is about boys who try to make a music mand of the type in V and MTV. The songs and sounds are very western and futuristic. It should be like that as that is what the story is all about. So, if the one song that you heard gives you the feeling that it is worth a song for V or MTV then I think ARR has struck the bulls eye. Even a staunch critic like you could feel the purpose of the song..then it means it is fabulous.

  thx for enligtening me . if thats wat the story is abt i agree with u. but wat do u say for similar nos. he is giving in other films too. like shaklaka baby or dippu dippu genre of songs. i sincerely wish that rahman can make it out in music albums rather than film music. not for arguement sake but i do belive that he can never reach the masses. his music is for urban middle class and upper class people but thats not the whole of this country. his music is gonna be a hit in 4 metros and blore not anywhere beyond these cities

  I think you have made up your mind for the negative. So point in convincing you. Anyway, I would like to tell you that Shakalaka Baby song was also for a situation where the hero- Arjun is shown as making a music vedio for MTV...Again, you need to watch the movie...there is even a common comment that you can find amoung ARR haters that ARR can only composwe if the situation is told to him...For me that's fine, for FM need to be for F's situation and not the otehr way round and that is why I think ARR music suits very well for any period films...
  
  raja---I found that in other threads you have pleadged Saranam to IR loyally. So no point in arguing with you...as I am sure at one point of time you will resort to personal attack...we if you won't then that's good, but if you actually do then it will be wiser for me to get away from you right now.
