VS is talentless md. I dont únderstand why people give him opportunites. ARR and IR is the only good musicians tamil fields ever had, has and will have. Even baby can compose better tunes than VS. HE is in the wrong field. He should go to Jenny Craig and lose some weight.

Rahman kitte irundhu Harris jayaraj vandha piraghu,AR kitte saraku illa adhanalathan recent AR films ellam DUMMY SONGS .It is better AR can do music for TELUGU DUBBING FILMS.
You know one thing Rahman did the music for the teleserial EN INIYA IYANDHIRA in that serial BGM he used[copied] the BGM of the film THE BOUNTY.One thing you must know that this serial is one of his earliest works.Even in the early period itself he has copied means then you see his real talent [copying].So please dont praise AR for his shameful work.

Why you people not ready to accept the reality.
Do you mean still ARR music is popular today.None of the movie ARR made hit in recent past years.
All super flop. Not exception even to the great maniratnam's KM,Balachandar's PP,Rajni's BABA.He gone away long back after alai payuthe.
I don'd want to say who was yesterday and who will be tomorrow. But if you say today ARR I bet you are not in the planet.

It is funny to see Winner, Punnagai Poove and Pudiya Geethai at the bottom of the TFM charts given that they are all hit albums. Also it is funny to see flop albums such as Udhaya and Parasuram at the top.
A bit of a distortion of the actual facts I think!

Winner, PP and PG are all flops musically also. Not to mention Udhaya and Pasasuram. Though Parasuram film is doing extremely well, the songs have not hit the public taste...But surely after MM, YSR did not have nay his worth his name.

well well, who told that ARR is out, u dumbos. his bombay dreams sold more than madonna's and britney spears's latest albums throughout the world. our tamil boy is ruling London. well u think only tamilnadu is whole world.if u think so, well u must be a KENATHU THAVALAI then.

hey nandha,
for ur info Harris jeyaraj has worked with ARR for only 8-10 movies and he has been assitant to around 15 MD's. so know facts and then talk. anyway YSR is really good. he is following footsteps of ARR. so he must be good.

Actually Punnagai Poove and Winner are great hits both in India and abroad. PG is also doing average songwise.
YSR is the only person who can come close to ARR.
HJ songs all are e-addichaan copy!

well peppy,
thnx for correcting me on that statistic, but B-Dreams is still going on in London, it's almost 1 year now and going to start in Newyork. Webber has recovered 3/4ths of money. havent u read the reviews on B-Dreams by english critics. they were all praise on ARR. hello XML, if ARR has no business then wat IR is doing without a meaningful album for the past 11 years. helping his sons put up a decent tune??????

It was surprising to note that the information passed by nandha that the teleserial "EN INIYA IYANDHIRA "bgm was composed by ARR.it is not ARR, Actually it is "THAIANBAN" a popular MD who has composed for the tele serial.Anybody can verify it.

it is a bit too early to say ARR is out. just check out what he is currently doing. the things that were recently in the new were ....
Rahman has recorded ghazals with well-known ghazal singers for soon-to-be-released 'Tehzeeb.' The film is directed by Khalid Mohammed.
Rahman has recorded a song with Kamaal Khan for Salman Khan starrer 'Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha.'
Rahman has worked with Viva Rock Band and Daler Mahendi for Ahmed Khan's multi-starrer 'Plot No. 4.'
Rahman is composing heavy rock tracks for SJ Surya's bilingual 'New.' One of the songs reportedly brought Rahman to tears.
Rahman plans to spend 12 months to compose for Ketan Mehta's period film '1857: The Rising,' which has the backing of perfectionist Amir Khan.
Rahman will introduce a new Bengali singer to voice the Rabindra Sangeet in Shyam Benegal's 'Netaji - The Last Hero.'
Rahman is also working on the complete patriotic soundtrack for Rakesh Omprakash Mehra's 'Samjhauta Express.'
The time has come for Rahman to tread even higher than before with new genres of music. This will be a huge victory for Indian music.
bye

Why does everybody think that ARR has to leave for YSR to suceed? I feel that YSR has done extremely well. ARR is the present best MD, but YSR is surely the future of TFM!

hey music man,
ENN INIYA IYANDHIRA's music is by "Thaianpan" and not by ARR. the title song was inspired from an Mel Gibson's english flick. hey anyone listened to "Girlfriend" sample from Boys. can u confirm whether it is "Deephouse" type of music?

Teja,
I guess no one denying the fact that ARR is ruling in North India. But as mentioned in ur post, there is only 2 films to talk abt him in TFM. Yet we dont know how good are these songs.
Parasuram and Udhaya are not upto the mark.
- From: Teja (@ 131.170.6.147)
on: Wed Jun 18 07:05:17 EDT 2003
hi kum,
i guess i understand what u r saying, cos there is a lot of truth to it, abt ARR and north india. Because frankly, there is something missing in parasuram, that distinct touch of ARR, that makes a song sound so good. you can feel the presence of ARR only in some places in "Muppadu nimidam", "kaadal vettukili". Having said that, i feel (like, i am sure, many of you also do) that ARR is just one hit away from justifying his position at the top. and listening to the boys clips one does get the feeling it is going to leave a mark.
and Ranj,
i accept what you say "why does ARR have to leave for ARR to succeed?". but looking at the past in Tamizh music industry, whenever a new no.1 md comes in to the picture, some how inexplicably, the old one is forgotten overnight (i dont mean to offend any body). i think YSR is showing extraordinary potential, but i guess he must give some music, that you can say is YSR style, like we can say for IR or ARR. that is the reason IR and ARR are where they are(at untouchable heights, acheiving unbelievable peaks).

PLEASE DONT COMPARE ILLAYARAJA WITH ARREHMAN REHAMAN'S ERA IS OVER.ARR IS NOT WORTH THE TALK AS WE HAVE BEEN HEARING HIS SO CALLED MELODIES LAST FEW YEARS.

If ARR's era is Over then IR's era was over 100 years back. if u think only tamilnadu is the whole world then yes ARR is out. but look at lagaan and saathiya which rocked North and B-dreams which mesmerised LOndon. so pls. stop digging at ARR.
- From: Ranj (@ 217.44.94.242)
on: Thu Jun 19 10:10:43 EDT 2003
Maddy, BD did not mesmerise London. It was the asian influence that rocked London. If Pushpavanam Kuppuswamy had collaborated with ALW at that time, even that would have been a great hit!
