i was asked by one of the guys incharge of raajangham to close the thread. i guess positive suggestions are okay, but criticisms should go to their admin..

They used newtfmpage to popularize their site, but now when people are criticizing them, they want to close the topic.
My intent was not to disparage, and I firmly believe that what I had suggested was positive. This is a public forum, and we discuss everything in the realm of tamil film music, and you (the adminsitrators) had deemed it fit earlier to let people discuss this site.
Will you shut down threads discussing demerits of MD's if the concerned MD asks you to? What is wrong is asking the administrators of your favourite MD's official site to make frequent, interesting updates? I love Raaja as much as anyone here and it is my "aathangam" that his site is not interesting enough that drove me to post here...

Karthik,
The tone of your initial response to that thread made us request the admins
to close that thread before it became one of those oft-seen mudslinging-counter
mudslinging threads of TFM-Page. We have noted the all suggestions expressed
in that thread and we are working on them. Please bear with us until they
are implemented.
Thank you.

Admin-Raajangham, you never write back to all the mails, feedback and comments IR fans give you. You want to self appoint yorself, core members, other members, put their photographs, focus on silly things and do a bad job of what you are supposed to do. But when you get criticisms, you will go to newtfmpage admin and ask them to close a thread. Unga velaiyai olunga seiya maatinga, adhai suti kaatina, thread close panuveenga. Do your work properly for which you appointed yourself instead of asking TFM admins to shut us up. Otherwise, claim raajangham as just another IR fan site, and NOT official IR's site.
bb, even if raajangham admins ask you, you have no business to be a chamcha for them and curb our freedom of expression. if you cannot function without your personal biases and cant do your duty properly you are unfit to be newtfmpage admin.

folks,
let us not loose our temper. Ethil ennappa erukku. all of us have better jobs to do than maintaining a site. So let us not fight. :-)
I began to wonder why IR is getting into so much of controversy these days inspite of being so quiet?
Moreover the people who are doing something for him is also under trouble. why?
maybe as irfan said --is it because the rajangahm guys extreme self proclaimation/publicity and unnecessary concepts?
i never did see this site getting into such controversies http://www.rahamonline.com
the webmaster doesn't have any info on himself. Infact nobody knows who he is.
But he is doing wonderful job for ARR.neerai kudam!
my humble suggestion to rajangahm guys....you shouldn't be trying to shut the threads with the help of newtfmpage administrators. maybe you should try to listen to others. I don't think there was any mud slinging here. as irfan , karthik, and others said.....there are many facts that can be taken positively like......you guys are against self popularisation in the name of IR, then it is very much contraditory to see all of your photos in their.
newtfmpage administrators...oru chinna vendukol....eppadi controversial thread's ai ellaam mudina....this won't be a public discussion forum.I didn't see this sort of attitude when there was real mud slinging in some of the threads earlier. It is not ethical to be biased when you run a public forum like this.
yetho namba opinion sonnen....nambalai uthaikama eruntha seri. :-)

Atha thavira, fans always want to feed on new stuff all the time and I really don't think that IR is in the news so much that they can put stuff in regularly. Vera...mattravaiyum(like us, fans) should send what they can to contribute. Bug mentioned Sathish's ARR site. It is very good. But even he updates rather infrequently. (I have noticed this over the last 4 years) It's just that all those information have accumulated over 5 years and so the site looks very well. Moreover, he is not a one man team either. There are people behind his site who send him the info he gets and work on audio etc. Ethu eppadi yenraalum, thayavu seythu yaarum mEla irrukkiratha thappa edukka vendaam. guys, the ir site is, after all, not run by professionals. i think we need to cut them some slack.. karthik and others, mudslinging a peer site run by fans like us doesn't get us anywhere. i hope the admins of raajangam take heed of ur positive suggestions.
personally, i would take their claim to be official IR site only with a pinch of salt and not high hopes:-))) also, unlike newtfmpage, the site is still in its teething stages, i guess..
bug, there was another instance when an ARR site maintainer was attacked in this forum and that was curtailed too..

irfan:
newtfmpage DF is a moderated discussion forum. That means, if the Admin feels that some discussion is unrelated to TFM or unneceessary or provocative or inappropriate in other ways, he is fully authorized to terminate that discussion. He has to curb your freedom where mine begins. I don't understand why anybody should discuss the functioning www.raajangahm.com in TFM DF. Yes, the thought for the site might have taken seed in these pages, but apart from that there is no connection between newtfmpage.com and Raajangahm.com
The best muckrakers like you can do is to question newtfmpage Admins' authority, whereas you don't have the decency to abide by the rules here. I wish the Raajangahm.com guys would clearly explain their position and take the trouble to absolve newtfmpage.com of any participation or responsibility in their affairs. Why should bb have to take flak from guys like irfan because of raajangahm.com's drawbacks ?
bb, perhaps you ought to write up a disclaimer with oodles of legalese in it. Then irfan and his ilk would not be able to take advantage of newtfmpage.com's lenient moderation :-)

Srinath, I agree with most of what you said. But, what put me off was the fact that this thread (IlayaRaaja's Official Website) was permitted, but when someone starts criticizing the way the site functions, the topic was closed immediately. newtfmpage is moderated, I agree and all that I am asking for is consistent moderation -- if Raajangahm is not to be discussed here, then this thread should not have been permitted in the first place. The moment they started a topic like this on newtfmpage, they were opening themselves to discussion, criticism -positive and negative. All IMHO.

Karthik:
If newtfmpage.com were to enforce consistent moderation, they would have to use very strict guidelines. That will take the fun out for most of us. If you are the same Karthik who used to perpetually be at loggerheads with Geeta (sorry for bringing that up here :-)), you should know that consistent moderation would have terminated most of your's, mine, Srikanth's, Geeta's and Raj's discussions in these pages. How much fun could that have been ?
As regulars, we must use our own powers of discretion to understand that if newtfmpage.com Admin were to allow a "diss-cussion", negative in scope and intent, inspite of an explicit request from the affected party (Raajangahm.com here), it would generate a lot of acrimony between the two sites. Who benefits then ?
Raajangahm.com has responded to your criticism and the best you can do is to hope that this time round they would read your suggestions and criticism closely. So newtfmpage.com cannot be held responsible any longer (it shouldn't be held accountable for raajangahm.com at any point of time). BTW, you would have seen that once Raajangahm.com took off, the discussion petered off in this thread. The last post was on the 28th of April, until irfan decided to open it up again. I think the newtfmpage.com Admin is fairly consistent in its moderation. Otherwise, this wouldn't remain one of the cleanest discussion forums on the Net, after being in operation for over 4 years (if I am not mistaken !).

Srinath, I am the same woman-hater :-)) Yes, Raajangahm seems to have listened to what was said here and woken up .. I went to their site and saw a number of updates including song samples. Thanks, folks.
Yeah, newtfmpage is one of the better moderated sites on the web -- which is why even the smallest (perceived) inconsistency on their part leads people to jump at them. And no, I never held newtfmpage responsible for Raajangahm in any way -- only used it as a forum to express my displeasure at Raajangahm.

Srinath,
i did not wanted to continue this discussion anymore....but...:-)
I have to totally agree with Karthik ??( paarthunga...summa kalakalaa woman hater endru sollareenga....:-)--
why was this whole Official thread allowed when so many ADVERTISEMENT threads like MOONGIL KATRE, ARUN"S WEBSITE, KALAPAM site were SHUT DOWN???Doesn't this fall under advt?:-))
i carefully read all the above postings.I don't think there was any stupid baseless criticisms and nobody has ill behaved in this forum. When those things didn't happen, it wasn't proper to ask newtfmpage to close the thread.
when you look at the latest pepsi and coke advt...you can see that they blatantly tell that the other drink is a waste. Do you think they go around town with fist fights???
This was a healthy discussion and people should take it postively. If it becomes sloppy then newtfmpage can remove those postings. That is what should have happened.
I basically visit this forum....cos for the healthy discussion going on unlike forums in tamil thirai valai where decorum is obsolete.
so please do not call others like muckrakers etc and create some "high tension" :-)
this q is directed towards the rajangahm admin.....could you please give us the reason for closing the thread?
