What Caused ARR\'s Downfall...

I was really impressed when Roja came out and I kept looking out for such impressive release after that. But to date, so far non of his film has any impact of Roja. There may be some good ones along the way but that I can get it from other TFM MDs. It\'s really disappointing that he has never matched any song compared to Chinna Chinna Aasai. For the last 7 years or so I keep yearning but to no avail. So many of his albums are of mediocre level. I really would like to know what caused ARR\'s downfall?

1) Trying too much in other fields and ignoring Tamil films?
2) Trying to fuse in too much western pop/rock and making listeners irritated?
3) Trying to be both Mozart and Michael Jackson of India?
4) Using so many different singers and not having any identity?
5) Again infusing too many English words to make it more hype?
6) Concentrating alot on sound quality and not giving importance to musical quality?
7) Or just limited talent?

It\'s really heart-ching to see someone I used to like go down like that.

  This been a recent trend of those guys who say ARR is great ,good, god finally end up sayig IR is also good, great, gifted musician etc. You junks fear whenever you quote ARR is with unreasonably positive adjectives, there will string of very valid replys which you cant face. So say everything about ARR in the pretext of being neutral.

  Many MDs feel happy about the fate of Boys music. They feared of this album b4 it was released because of the combo arr+shankar. But after looking at sales, they must be happy\, why not?

  hey loosu nattamai..... BOYS sold a record 2lakh+ units..... 2 lakhs= YSR+HJ+VS do u understand???? YSR's albums dunt sell even 1.5 lakhs...... ARR has proved he can still give gorgeous music for military-medium scripts....... anyway i think ARR has taken the rite path atleast for now....he has 4 hindi films lined up.......

  I would say...
  
  Agree to all above + people have mistaken him as a composer. He's not. He is a MD. Anyone clown can be one. Apart from SAR, Deva, etc., isn't there enuf proof when sabesh+murali entered as MDs?
  ARR is very interested to impress the youngsters and the hype crowd. He's not cut out to write musical notations for orchestra especially for film recordings. He should work in private albums and release pop songs only.

  I did not mean it in the deragatory way, i just complemented and sympathized with MADDY as a NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK group kind-a way and he should get patient with all these stupid posters who attack personally, that includes against PARAN which I hate.

  I dont have any problems with Maddy's age. I didnt make any comment about his age. I think mine is a valid response. I think this is the right way to deal with some kind of junk messages on both sides (if you are concerned about ARR v IR war which is going on here). You can verify all my messages and see whether I provoked or verbally abused someone, I would have given some harsh responses to someone who gave a harsh response. I accept speakers point that there are too many positive adjectives used by both sides (which he did not mention and its my opinion) instead of just talking about the technicalities of why a particular thing is good. But I dont accept the way Speaker put it across. I think you need to go around look at other topics (like "Whatever happened to Ilayaraja's Symphony") where Maddy has made some derogatory statement by any standards which is way worse than Speaker's statement. I dont have anything against Maddy except for his amature responses. Its just a coincidennce that I picked up Maddy first. I dont generalise that ARR fans or IR fan sare mad, its just that a particular ARR or IR fan is mad and take things close to the heart. These guys have to be dealt this way.

  I believe IGNORING will be a much stronger way of insult than anything else. and also I believe AN EYE FOR EYE MAKES WHOLE WORLD BLIND. It is how you put it..
  And i have condoned MADDY at a previous occasion too to stop posting and retaliating too much otherwise the essense of the DF is being lost somewhere, thats all, It is not the attack that matters but how you do it.
