Melody Queen of South Indian Film MUsic - Is it Janaki or Susheela or Vani or Chitra?

Who can be conferred as the Melody Queen of South Indian FIlm Music .
Is it S.Janaki or P.Susheela or Chitra or Vani Jayram..?
I think Janaki is the best of all and she should be conferred as the Melody Queen of South Indian Music

  I have replied to mr.Pranav's statements, thats all!. None of the SJ's or others song I mentioned other than PS's songs, especially when I speaking about KFM, because it was a reply. I take your list as input. when I was writing about Versatility I compared few songs (which people always compare) to explain about PS's versatility .

  It is the joke of the millineum. I dont know with what intention U have written this word? I can remind U, your fav. SJ's statement on PS, "even we beg, we dont get this voice". So, voice is concerned, no one can beat PS in South india.
  PS and IR had a misunderstanding when he was a guitarist. He was thrown out from the recording studio by V.Kumar and he told, "Once I become the MD, I will return for this". But, during that period, very less movies were without PS songs.(literally not possible). So, he was forced to give atleast one song. It was "sonthamillai panthamillai". Then he went to LRE and she was not interested and called him as "pandaram". Atlast They were planning to bring lata from north.( one interview, it was told by IR or GA ) She also didnt get time. VJ was the upcoming singer in MSV's music. So, IR didnt have any other choice other than SJ and moreover as he was a assistant of GKV, he knows SJ very well. That time, even SJ had no market in tamil. Her Good time started in tamil only after IR's arrival.
  You can notice, other than PS, the previous generation top singers TMS,Seergazhi, PBS,LRE were used very less or not used(LRE). He had misunderstanding with almost all. PS could manage to sing around 300 songs. Do U know how many songs SJ sung under IR's music? ( more than 1500 ?!!)
  Once, we started like this and we ended with fight. Atleast this time we use this for discussion only.

  Mr Kalai you can reply anything you want but you cannot insult my fav.SJ. You have written She is ready to sing third rate songs, this really hurts me. You know what, no need to mention any kannada songs of PS becoz I heard every song of her I really love those songs, but I really get bored to hear her old songs, even I dont know the reason. I dont think it is a joke, and also I have no intention to write anything about PS voice. And also we cannot beg one more time for her voice becoz we already heard a lot. This is applicable not only PS even SJ also.In your opinion , no one can beat PS in South India becoz you are greatest fan of PS but my opinion is SJ and PS both are greatest singers in South India. I have no interest to know anything between PS and IR. IR was Assistance to GKV thats what he also chose SJ? I think this is the joke of millenium. That time SJ had no market in Tamil. This might be true but SJ has very busy in KFM and MFM, she is not sitting at home and waiting for IR. IR music(I mean tunes) doesnt suit TMS,Seegazhi, and LRE I think. Just think if seergazhi or TMS sing 'Enna sattam indha Neram or Ilamaiyanum Poogantru', I cant even imagine. Mr Kalai I know the no of songs sung by SJ under IR, but I already told you I dont bother about the no's I need only good songs. See LM has sung 30K and Suman Kalyanpur has sung very less songs but no one can forget that songs right,be it 30K or 5K.( I never forget Suman's kannada song 'Odanaadi Bekendu'lovely song).
  Mr Kalai, you said it right atleast this time we use this for only discussion. Please do listen PS Sharapanjara songs( Megha Sandesha my fav.) Kaadiruvalo Krishna( film saakshaatkaara)

  Thease are all my fav songs of PS. You heard most of her oldest kannada songs ex; Dharanige Giri Bharave Girige Maravu Bhaarave...

  Mr av, Meghama ... tamil version of Meghame...sung by SJ. But I am sorry I dont know the movie. Infact SJ gave me that song when I have been to Bangalore. And also you can hear her songs(classical or anything) through musicindia online or lot of kannada sites are there, you can get those songs.

  SJ is very good and her partnership with IR produced many great songs. Although I feel she has a nasal tinge in her singing I think it is just one's style and I cant call that a defect. Personally though I prefer KS Chitra. I have heard most of her Malayalam songs and they are all really good.

  Hello Mr. Kalai, your statements on IR using Sj is really very disgusting. I really don't know why you are not accepting the S.Janaki is also talented as PS. You are telling LRE called IR "Pandaram", that singer has sung only cabaret songs, didn't you notice this?
  SJ has given more melodies in KFM and MFM than in TFM. At her formative years SJ was supressed by none other than the great V - R, this is a common knowledge.
  SJ was busy in KFM and MFM, ashe need not worry for not having good market in TFM or for IR coming into scene. YOu said that, SJ used to get chances only when PS or PLeela rejects a song? Stupid remark. She was the top singer in MFM till 1988/90. then Chitra took her place.
  Many songs which has to meet high notes was first given to PS, but she could not sing it properly , so it went into the hands of SJ.
  Moodala Maneya is really a wonderful song, it is a GEM in KFM. Not only that, Doni Sagali Mundhe Hogali, Acharavillada Nalige, Bharatha Booshira, Indu ENage, Poojisalendhe and many more songs are full of emotions and are still popular.
  
  She sings each and every song with full of emotions, expressions, feeling, life. She will be LEgend of SFM. She is the num,ber one Melody Queen. No one can beat her in Melody.
  
  Though PS have sung more number of songs, it soen't mean that she is the MElody Queen. At the times of PS, only radio was the means of Entertainment. So everyone will be hearing only PS and TMS songs, which made their songs hit. Or else it would be some other picture.
  We don't want Number of Songs, we need MElody in VOice, Life in Songs. WE cannot just count numbers.

  u r correct. PS is da melody queen of SIFM. Janaki is not half as gud as PS. After PS it is Sadhana Sargam and after Sadhna it will be Shreya. Janaki has no voice control she sings like a rat some times and like a man some times. meerakrishna, av and pranav r supportin Janaki coz they are related to her. datz all.   Meghama dehama (the telugu version of meghame meghame) is from the movie "Manchupallaki". I am not sure if it is available anywhere. But I can tell you one thing. If you are an SJ fan and you haven't heard this song, then I think you are missing one memorable song. Excellent is an understatement when one listens to meghama dehama. I would definitely recommend you to listen to that song if you get a chance. I shall see if it available anywhere on the net.

  Ninna Snehake and one more song I remember ie Tirupati girivaasa sri venkatesha song from 'Sri Krishna Devaraya' sung by PBS,PS and SJ. Did you hear her 'Doonoyolage Neenu' that song one of my fav.   Pranav, you cannot convince others who is no 1. You and me think SJ no1 in KFM and MFM. Some PS fans think PS is no1. No wonder everybody has their own taste. IMO PS and SJ are two eyes in SFM. Did you get my mail?

  Yeah, the song meghama dehama by janaki was a very popular one in those days and still is as one can witness the innumerable requests on talk-in radio shows asking for this song. Unfortunately, I am not able to find a site which contains this song on the web.
