Melody Queen of South Indian Film MUsic - Is it Janaki or Susheela or Vani or Chitra?

Who can be conferred as the Melody Queen of South Indian FIlm Music .
Is it S.Janaki or P.Susheela or Chitra or Vani Jayram..?
I think Janaki is the best of all and she should be conferred as the Melody Queen of South Indian Music

  Mr. kalai, I really congragulate your strain in writting all these points to coninve all others.
  There is no point in saying that, she is the only to sound sweet.
  Singaravelanedeva Vs Nalandhana, there is no point in comparing that song with this. Nalandhhana may be along with nadaswaram , but it was medium pitched.
  PS may be good at Medium pitch, but her voice become shrill as it reaches higher notes. PS was a lead singer in TFM only because of MSV, who opted PS for his songs.
  Viraha Nooru Nooru Taraha was a good song, but you canot say that, SJ lacked expression or did mistakes in pronunciations.
  GO and here to her songs like , " Endhu Enage Govinda" or Tanu Ninadu EE Mana Ninadu", "Bidanu Ninna Pada", Shiva Shiva Enada Nalige", Hey Nanede Kogileya", Tam Nam, Yaarivanu EE Manmathanu, Kapadu Shri Satyanaryana, omme Ninannu Kanthumba Kaanuvaase Elliruve, Nagu Nagutha Nee baruve, Puuta putta Hejjae ittu, Banallu Neene, Nanna Neenu Gelalare, Hoovondu Beku Ballige, Aakasha Deepavu, EE Binka Bidu Bidu, Kangalu Tumbiralu, Jagadalli Neenidare, Arishina Kumkuma, Malare Mounama, All songs from the movie Geetha, Naguva Nayana, Hey Kavithe Neenu, Hoovinda Hoovige Harruva Dumbi, Mahalaxmi Manege Baramma, Magiya Chaliyalli, Jeeva Veene, Kamalada Mogadavale, Belli Kalungura. These are only a few which you should hear before commenting about Janaki.
  One queston for you, How did you tell that Janaki is not versatiled? By the way how do you define Verataility?
  Sj copyies styles of Lata and Asha ..?? FOOLOSH COMPLIMENT/STATEMENT made ever. Who told you all these rubbish things? Pls go and hear to LM and Ab songs and then talk. It is Hindi and these is Kan, Tam, Tel, Mal.. no questionof copying. SHe was estrablished in KFM and MFM much before when AB became famous. Do u understand .
  Regarding Gimmicks, Who said to you that singing like child or a boy is gimmicks? it is a part of singer's talent to modify their voice . Mr, a 16 year old boy's voice is different when compared to a MAN. Do u understand.
  If you say this as Gimicks then, Mr. TMS has also have done gimicks to get chances in TFM. He sings like Shivaji and MGR.. is this not Mimicry? then according to you and PS - TMS did GImicks???
  Pronunciation: Are you Kannada/Malayalam Proessor? then how can you say that SJ had mispronunced? Do yuou have brain? Clarity in Voice, how did you tel that Sj has no voice clarity? Vj has no life in her songs and you are talking about her? Absolute NOnsense,.
  Expressions, you mean that SJ lacked pronunciation? LOL.. Pls hear to all of the songs that I ahve mentioned. If you want some more, I and SJ fans are ready to provide the songs for your clarification. Sweetness in voice? Then you mean that Sj's voice is bitter to taste? Foolish statement. Pls hear the songs like - Swathi Muthina Malehaniye, Nanende Kogileya, Shoba Shoba the list goes on..
  Both are equal to each other. PS got more choice in TFM and TeFm(1956 - 1976,1990), where as Sh got more chance in KFM, MFM(1957 - 1992,1990) and few in HFm. But more melodies are by S.Janaki and not by P.Susheela . PS voice is more matured , you cannot get much melody in her voice.

  the same question for you? Can Savithri dance like Silk? or can silk act like Savithri? Both are good in there own trend.
  I think you are a boy( Am i right), you will sit and enjoy the seductive dance of Silk, but you can't appreciater huh? what is this fare on you r part?

  Your favourite SJ is ready to any kind of third class songs. You are ready to Use any third class words. That shows both of your standards.
  I never told SJ is not versatile. You go thru your previous postings in different threads. U told that SJ is more versatile and PS is monotonous. And U were repeating the same thing again and again .Thats why I replied with the proof of PS songs.
  Next expressions.. that also, I have replied for the previous comments. I never told SJ lacks expression or versatility. I have told about Plus points of PS.
  I have a good collection of SJ songs and I am equally familier with other language songs also. So, with fair knowledge only I am writing about PS.
  SJ also proved in the industry more than 45 years. Without enough talent or Good voice no one can withstand for a long time. As U were projecting the Pluses of SJ, I am also explaing the talents of PS. without understanding, U are using unnecessary words.
  I didnt know that U will be so happy to compare silk with SJ. what a taste !!!

  " PS was a lead singer in TFM only because of MSV, who opted PS for his songs" . I dont agree with U. Between 1955-1980 almost all the MD's preferred her. KVM was given her more chances. Almost all MD's. In tel. MSV do very rare movies. How should maintain her market there ? When GKV, or VijayaBhaskar comes to Tamil films, they use PS the most. Very popular songs of kannada also was reproduced by PS in telugu.
  Only with the reference of KFM U were commeting on SJ. KFM and MFM very less number of movies were produced compared with tamil and telugu and the area also very less. Very few movies were taken with big budget. PS was concentrating in tamil and telugu and wenever she find time she was singing in KFM and MFM. Once SJ got good market in Tamil and telugu, she also reduced singing in other languages.
  The number of songs which SJ sang( around 15,000-SJ in sun interview) is not even half the amount of PS. I think it shows who was famous then.

  SJ can ready to sing any kind of third rate song, Kalai this shows your indecency, You mean to say PS is sati savitri and SJ is Silk Smitha, so LRE might be caberet dancer, becoz she gave no of Caberet songs right. You mention only PS songs under VB but I will give you plenty songs of SJ under VB. You mention Muddina Giniye song but not Mooddala Maneya. People can forgot Muddina Giniye but not Moodala Maneya(both songs are same movie) and Viraha Nooru taraha but you didnt mention Nille Patanga. This song is most popular than Viraha. I will give VB and SJ comb best and popular songs.

  If you guys need her songs under GKV, Upendra Kumar(he always use SJ voice only)Rajan Nagendra every body knows R-N's fav are SJ and SPB, and she gave lot of gems under T.G.Lingappa also. I cannot forget her duets with PBS and SPB. Especially Singara Sheela song from Bhakta Kanaka Daasa duet with PBS and MD M.Venkata raju.
  Mr Kalai we dont want No. of songs but we need only good song.
  Even PS also sung lot of Junk(you mean third rate songs) in Kannada and Telugu. Even I heard her telugu songs on NTR and NR those songs are only Takka Dimmi songs. And do you heard one Kannada song Kanna Notadalle, Endendigoo Naa Ninna are full of vulgar meaning. PS voice never sychranise with all singers especially SJ ex. Aase Heluvaase,Nee Nadeva Hadiyalli etc.. But SJ voice very much Sychrenize VJ's voice only ex. Madhumaasa chendrama, Teredide Mane Baa Athiti beautiful songs. And PS voice never shrills? I said her voice is really beautiful but some times she just screaming ex Naa Bayasada Bhagya song (MD R-N) spoiled by PS and Phalisitu OIlavina song .In my opinion PS is very extraordinary singer but in karnataka she never became No.1.
  My first choice is always SJ. And I listened PS songs in Telugu which was originally sung by SJ in Tamil I could feel the greatness of SJ. PS voice is normal and boring. Even I heard Meghame in Telugu I feel SJ made a wonderful job. SJ always copied LM and AB? even PS always said LM is my Inspiration so PS was also copied LM I think.
  And also said IR forced to PS from his 1st movie? really!! I dont know about that becoz IR specifically mentioned SJ is always my fav singer. Mr Kalai PS is really a lengend but she is also a human. I think Caberet songs are not suitable for PS voice so MD's are always prefer LRE and SJ. SJ can twist her voice any kind of songs be it caberet or romantic not third rate songs please make a correction. If SJ is no1 is KFM and MFM it does not mean we love only SJ voice we also love and respect PS voice also. And I do have a PS popular songs collection with me.

  Can you name the movie and give us the first line of the Telugu version of "meghame meghame". I am curious to hear it, because I love both SJ and VJ. It would be interesting to listen to a different singer singing this gem of a song. There are many songs sung by VJ in Tamil with their Telugu version by SJ, or vice versa, I believe!
  
  Also, please post links to some of the songs you have mentioned (especially classical or devotional ones), because I really love classical songs and SJ does full justice to them, IMO.
