How come people dont like IR's music?

It has been bothering me for a long long long time...How come people dont like IR's songs?

I can understand and accept to some extend that a lot of people don't appreciate IR's music in the last few years...for obvious reasons. But it's so hard for me to believe that in many other TFM threads, people say that IR has been a disgrace to TFM, IR's pre 92 songs sucked etc.. etc... How in the world is it possible for them not to like IR's songs of 70's 80's and early 90's??? Do they bash IR just to piss off IR fans and me the ARR fans happy? I just want to know.

So I started this thread for those who think IR is not a great MD in their openion.. Pl note that this thread is NOT for bashing IR. If you honestly think that IR's earlier songs do not appeal to you then explain why. Forget about his latest songs. I am talking about his 70's and 80's. Seriously, guys give your true comment, technically, non-technically on each of the following songs that make it not so great in your openion. Or comment on any other song that became a big hit but did not deserve to be a hit in your openion.

Man, I can't list them all. It's too tiring.... so I stop here.

2 humble requests:

1. Please no fights.
2. Please dont criticise IR or anyone personally. Just talk about music alone.

I am aware that people below 20 yrs old may not have heard the above songs. Those people (or anybody who haven't heard a lot of IR songs), pl dont pass any comments bcos you are expected to have anything to say.

  well, I believe that no matter how hard u guys trash each other...IR still get a project for himself as well as ARR. They still make money, they still live happily with their bank balance reaching millions (i suppose).

  a car can be created in 5 - 8 hours (saw it in Junkyard war on Discovery channel)
  
  and also a car can be created in years (2 or more) for a ferrari...
  
  both are cars...but which is better...Junkyard card which was created so fast...or Ferrari.....

  Paran..that is totally an absurd comparison. Think about this. You know how many VW they make a day..more than 10,000 a day. (I personally visited their factory in Germany). Of course, no body can beat the Japanese. How many ambassdors a day...800-1000. Does it mean Ambassdors superior to VW?Toyotas? If you know the know how and master the technique, depending on the needs, you can decide the numbers..

  and u r talkign about production..it;s different man....
  if that's the case ..Deva could produce 60000 songs a day...
  ( 6 songs a cassete..and assume 10 000 cassettes a day).....

  guys who said IR is bad? my god as far am concerned hes the best composer i have ever come across in my life,simply superb aquistions, arrangements etc etc,...just tell me who can compose 10-15 movies in a yr other than IR....a man with stint char.hahaha.....am sry but i feel i call him the best composer coz havent seen any iother md,even deva giving as bad a song like IR,composing 15 movis hehe, all utter rubbish ,just like wht guys from the slum sings, thats his kind of music....and mr awe said HJ has destroyed arr, i guess hes kidding, hj himself doesnt have any originality and copies each and evrything thing from arr 's music, i guess the new combination of parasuramradha is miles ahead of hj , but miles below arr......so on the whole we still find ARR IS NO1 ...and my guys, ofcourse he has composed for min of 3 movies in a yr,only 2000 coz he had other projects like lagaan, nayak,zubeida and BD...which r all soul stirring music..and 2002 already the best music of the yr 'tlobs' even though the sales werent much @ box office.......as ny of his critcis they would accept it was simply superb.......so guys dont critize others simply ,mind ur own bum* before checking out others....... idiots like a,awe,flipflo,uthaman,speaker, all having the same name , 1 guy with 1000 diff names coz he has no 1 2 support wont chg and cryig out there........heeh

  I am a HCIRF, just FYI. I started this thread for IR haters bcos I wanted to find out why they hate IR. Apparently no body understood the intention of this thread. So far none of the ARR fan/IR hater has put up a sensible argument about why they think IR songs were bad.
  
  Mr 'God'- Only 5% huh?. That's the greatest joke of the century.. Can you go read again my thread, go through the list of songs I mentioned and rethink again?. Remember those are only 5% of IR's best songs.

  To all: Do not try to answer the question that was posted in the previous response. Just answer the questions in the main topic of the thread. This thread has already become another IR-ARR fight and is deviating from the original track.
  
  Ok, let's start over again...I want a convinsing statement from IR haters.. e.g why do you think the songs that I have listed are bad?

  x, I think I am speaking for many ARR Fans here when I say that we have all enjoyed IR's 70s & 80s songs plus even some of his 90s hits. But jus bcos we r a great fan of another MD does not mean we hate any songs by every other MD. In the real world, these things dont happen. But when u see ARR bashers going to each and every thread and say there is not even a single ARR song which is worth listening to, all r crap, copied recycled bla bla bla, u will get by Newton's law an opp & equal reaction.

  Thanks, partly this is what I wanted to hear...and that's what I thought too. Fight starts when people make personal attacks. This personal attacks have been going for in almost all the threads and it's the same group of people who do the fighting in all these threads.
  
  I am kind of convinced that no one can ever hate IR bcos THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE.
  
  As far as I am concerned, I am an IR fanatic. I just love his songs right from annakkili till Ivan and that will go on for ever. What IR fans see in IR's songs is different from ARR fans see in ARR's songs. But I also see quite a few great things in ARR's music.
  
  Speaker: you wanted to narrate the obvious things in those songs listed. We all know that. don't we? They are all some of IR's master pieces. I put up that list bcos I bet that none of the ARR fans can say that those songs are crap. If they say then let them come up with a reason. That's the purpose of this thread. So far nobody has done that.. but instead making personal attacks as usual...
  
  Someone said that IR's songs are 2 minutes noodles? IR did kathal oviyam songs in 1 and a half day including recording. He did Johny in 4 days. I know this for fact. That's noodles???. Have a life my friend. That is the speed that IR used to work with. That's god's gift to him.

  IR is known for his tremendous speed. When that very attribute of him is ridiculed.. people give responses. So WN put a leash on your puppy (God or Deivam or whatever). Nobody invited him over this thread to post a gross comment about IR.
  He makes sure all the IR related threads are spoilt. He is not a watchman? isn't he? If he is a music fan, he should be sensible enough talk about ARR songs individually instead of searching for IR threads. This very thread is to talk about why there are some IR bashers. Coming here and bashing him is not making sense. All i want is i do not want him to be an IR fan for heaven's sake. He doesn't deserve IR music. But let him not affect the flow of a discussion with stupid postings.

  i know IR was gud... and i think i'm not being wrong by saying WAS.
  his songs dont seem to appeal to me nemore... worse still they seem so eerily familiar.
  but i dont think it's ever possible to say this in this forum.
  one statement like this and ppl pounce on u like vultures. en mana vaanil seems so outdated.
  and speed is certainly not everything.
  if u look to complete albums w/ such crazy (pardon me for this term) deadlines, u r bound to compromise on the quality, which i find nowadays in IR's songs.
  no doubt IR is a genius, it's jus that a few MDs are creating a greater stir than IR at the moment.
  Let's jus wait and c if IR comes up w/ an album that he is really capable of. And yes, from a big banner since they tend to get greater publicity.

  it's not that ppl hate IR's music..
  it's jus that a few so called IR fans tend to go overboard and refuse to accept the success of ne other MD. now that really turns sour, and we all hope this personal bashing stops.
  and it really surprises me that they they hate anti IR comments in an IR thread when they themselves give completely sick comments in AR... er a few other threads.
  i hope i've given u what u wanted x...(well, my side of it), and if i've misunderstood the purpose of this thread i apologise and i'll head rite back to a more familiar territory! :)
