How come people dont like IR's music?

It has been bothering me for a long long long time...How come people dont like IR's songs?

I can understand and accept to some extend that a lot of people don't appreciate IR's music in the last few years...for obvious reasons. But it's so hard for me to believe that in many other TFM threads, people say that IR has been a disgrace to TFM, IR's pre 92 songs sucked etc.. etc... How in the world is it possible for them not to like IR's songs of 70's 80's and early 90's??? Do they bash IR just to piss off IR fans and me the ARR fans happy? I just want to know.

So I started this thread for those who think IR is not a great MD in their openion.. Pl note that this thread is NOT for bashing IR. If you honestly think that IR's earlier songs do not appeal to you then explain why. Forget about his latest songs. I am talking about his 70's and 80's. Seriously, guys give your true comment, technically, non-technically on each of the following songs that make it not so great in your openion. Or comment on any other song that became a big hit but did not deserve to be a hit in your openion.

Man, I can't list them all. It's too tiring.... so I stop here.

2 humble requests:

1. Please no fights.
2. Please dont criticise IR or anyone personally. Just talk about music alone.

I am aware that people below 20 yrs old may not have heard the above songs. Those people (or anybody who haven't heard a lot of IR songs), pl dont pass any comments bcos you are expected to have anything to say.

  Kiru i undertand you have good taste.. But all i am saying is 'trendy' lyrics are nothing but an illusion.. Just likes Bell bottom became tights then it became parallel and so on... It will be going in circles.. Originality is lacking music..

  a well said.. His music is only for Ad Jingles..
  He would be like a water out of fish if he had to score music for movies like Sindhu Bhairavi.
  Padairyen to Mari Mari transition was astounding.
  ARR can only dream of scoring such an epic composition. He mainly steals teeny pop songs and gives it in tamil format.. Even that is not working. Harris Jayaraj has destroyed him with his Minnale, 12B and now Laysa Laysa.

  IR is competition for ARR?
  That is the funniest thing I have heard this week. ARR is million light years ahead of IR while IR is nowhere he was even compared to himself ten years ago.
  
  See what IR did with Ivan's classical song? Done exactly as was done 100s years ago.
  Forget ARR. Talk about Deva. Can IR now give a song like Maathava sethu maathavaa?

  Ok a.. Now it is officiall confirmed this guy is a fan of 'Deva'.. ok.. good enjoy your ARR and Deva songs.. Is there an award like Razzie Award for slowest composer in the world? If there is one he will be hands down winner. 365 days 2 movies. hmm let me think... one movie takes 182.5 days. Give 6 songs to each movies.. which makes roughly 30 days per song.. Wow.. 30 days.. gosh..
  Even if it is only 6 months.. 15 days per song..
  Tell me in lay man terms.. who will take 15 days per song? Not difficult to figure out.. Dumb person. Just guy understands theory of relativity
  faster and better than the other is called brilliant. Not the one who takes 15 times more than the other takes and says he "qualiatively" understood. Harris Jayaraj has destroyed him.

  So are the fans of ARR and also the recent trends.
  Well for u it may be a joke.
  But as always truth is always hidden only.
  Well I still lov IR songs.
  Also I don't have to read these threads to know the quality of ARR music, as I can hear the feed back of BABA live near by only. ok

  Deva also will give partial credit to IR when it comes to his carrier. He was the next immediate choice of MD.
  Not like now a days, all producer and director have to scratch their heads to choose MD. Then scratch their head to get a good tune or select a good tune for their movie.

  But don't come and tell others that they are wrong in having their own preference.
  
  As for Uthaman, if he prefers maggi noodles that are instantly prepared rather than to a feast that is well-planned and executed, who are we to deny him?

  Didn't i tell you man? There are only 2 or 3 guys coming in different names and id creating an illusion that ARR has some fans. Let him live with those 300 songs. Let us live with 4000 songs.
  He is a disgrace to be a fan of any MD. Because he could not appreciate even one song of ARR meaningfully in an ARR thread. He is wandering like a stray dog.. from one IR thread to the other. If we ignore his stupidity, he will come out with stupid remarks like "Accept the defeat"..
  It is insult to us to talk to immatured morons like him. Let him bark. Let us continue with analysis of IR's music. If he has really some kind of common sense,he would go to one of ARR's thread and post something about ARR songs. But for him fighting like a street dog in a forum like this is a hobby.
