Why is Kannathil Muthamitial so low??

I just saw the poll of the song rating for this site and it is so biased. Why is songs like nandha up the top. Apart from one song the other songs were normal. And Kasi, hey the movie was touching but not the songs. Alaghi i agree was good it should be there. Manthai thiriduvitai was so so. Just a few humable tunes. Surely Kannathil mutahmaital needs to be at the top. The songs are new and different are a breath of fresh air from the normal songs. Before people start swearing at me that i am a rahman fanatic...stop there I'AM NOT!!! I just love music.
So what is happening???

  Ravana, thank you for the article. But what I don't quite get is this.
  How can the article conclude that the audio company has made such a specific amount of loss when the movie has been released for less than a week (though the audio was released earlier, the release of the movie is considered an important development which can spruce up sales, isn't it), and hence this would still be considered as the peak sales period?
  Doesn't that sound like abit of BS to you?
  Now lets say the peak sales period is actually over, even though that doesn't make sense. Unless they have super duper accountants who can calculate their profit/loss margin so accurately in such a short period, how can they come up with such an accurate figure in such a short while? And it usually takes a while before the retail outlets can bounce back their own profit/loss to the distributors or the audio company.
  So in other words alot of time consuming events/processes have taken place and the loss has been so accurately calculated in such a short period of time. I find that hard to believe.

  If anyone is wondering, why India is STILL developing, then show them this page. To comment about movies and music as a pastime is one and to indulge in such micro analysis of who is voting for whom and how and why!
  Wheather you vote for KM or not, ARR and Mani are going to make money, wheather you vote for IR he has earned enough respect and recognition that he can live the rest of his life w/o moving his finger, but have you guys even achieved anything yet, if so talk about yours and not about what other people have achieved!

  KM is a perfect one from ARR.He is trying to improve the taste of his fans from the previous one.Musics are par different from the earlier one.

  Just for interest's sake:
  have a look at the rankings now.
  Kadhale Swasam by Imaan, PKS by Deva and Punnagai Desam by SAR are now higher ranked than KM.
  
  And i spose going by the logic of the review watchers here, all these 3 movies have received outstanding reviews by all of media.
  
  Not long after, KM will be at the bottom, joining ranks with PP and AA. and of course Thavasi, red and shahjahan will be higher.
  
  and no one needs to guess who's family will be at the top. This is becoming hilarious.
  btw, why hasn't mitr been added to the list yet? then the family can have 5 seats at the top. :-)

  KM is not low,It's a non-commercial movie.We can't expect hit songs with fast beat for this movie as the concept of the movie is totally different from 'tamil style movies'.
  Now,I reccommends you guys to listen the mixing and bass of KM songs.Superbly composed tracks,very nice combination of several music equipments and of course the bass.
  Rahman has a very high knowledge in adding bass on the right timing.Hats off Rahman.KM is an excellant job from Rahman.

  now red and shahjahan r higher already. and the only thing keeping KM from joining PP and AA is Thavasi. But soon, tat too wud clear the way and the foregone conclusion will materialise.

  How many movies get to have songs like Vellai pookal, the title track or for that matter the entire album.
  The lilting tunes just take u somewhere else.
