3. Work with leading directors
4. Stop singing himself

  Ball == Bala that's what I meant. Sorry for the typo.
  
  I can say 1000 times KB is not a big movie director. He is good at Serials, Dramas. No great imagination in his shots in movies. He is good in Polygamy, extra marital affairs etc. There is not a single movie with out it including his best (Sindhu Bhairavi).

  Do u think any Rajini movie after he achieved super stardom was even worthy to warrant classic music? I don't think so. Still Dalapathi, Veera , Maapillai , Garjanai, Kazhugu , Adutha vaarisu had outstanding music. Ask Rajini which was his best movie till date.He stll says it is mullum malarum.

  I think Kadhal Oviyam and Mudhanai Mudichi had great songs. I still like Andhi Varum Neram and Chininajiru Killiye on the same level as all Kadhal Oviyam songs.
  
  IR never gave bad service to anyone. In fact, he never gave differential treatment to directors. A run of the mill director had gotten great songs like 'Mayille Mayille' (can't remember the movie name). So is Ramarajan or Rajkiran or Bharathiraja and even MR. All these directors grew with IR's great music.
  
  If anyone says IR ignored BR that's total absurdity. BR himself has praised and is praising IR's efforts for his movies (esp. the background for MM). MR knows very well what he got from IR in Nayagan, Thalapathi, Agninatchathiram and even Pagal Nillavu (Poo Malaye Tholserava). There is no reason for MR to desert IR, except for may be ego clash (???). Even, no one has reported any such clash. KB, MR wanted to replace IR and found ARR. ARR did to some extent create initial waves in TFM, but it soon settled and IR has reemerged strong. Now, every single director and actor including Rajini wants to use IR. But IR is selective about going with them and has turned down offers from them. That's the truth.

  It is all team work, man, a good team gives a good ouput, so team includes, cameraman, director, producer, make up artists, costume designer, music director, co actors/actresses, choregrapher, lyricists,play back singers, instrumentalist and last but not least the HERO/HEROINE to give a hit film, so it is absurd to say, IR was the reason for xyz's success.

  Sindhu Bhairavi may have been his biggest tamil hit, but he's made all kinds of movies. I dont you know any of KB's movies being made in 60s & 70s.

  Just dont take one movie and 'brand' somebody. You are doing a HUGE INJUSTICE. KB has made a host of movies with all kind of subjects, heroes and most importantly succesful enough to direct movies from 60s to 00s. Give him some credit..

  These IR "cult club" fans will go any extend to praise IR, even it requires insulting others. I am really not sure why IR only has this "cult" club. We have alreadry see BR, MR, KB got insulted - you may soon see somebody saying RajKiran is the greatet director ever in TF Industry.
  
  Are they over-protective of him? They are afraid that somebody else will replace him from #1 position? (they have not realized, or accept to realize IR is no longer #1)
  
  I want to reinstate the fact that I am also IR fan (but not a blind fan) - I loved his music 1976-1988. His stuff is not as good from early 1990s...

  I don't think anyone here is afraid that someone else will take No.1 spot. Even, IR does not care about the No.1 spot as its only temporal/momentary.
  
  IR has been and will be the best TFM MD ever by sheer merits.
  
  If you have been an IR fan only until 1988 and you think that from 1990 IR has changed its only your perception. I don't think the quality of IR's compositions has detoriated since 1990, but only has matured and sounds much refined.
  
  Its the taste of the people that has changed and ARR and other mediocre copycat MDs like Deva, HJ, VS are responsible for it.

  What you have quoted is not even 10% of his movies. Go back and do your home work and you will realize the truth.
  
  He is good in portraying a serial or a drama and that's his origin. Take for e.g., the big ones like Moondru Mudichu, Aboorva ragangal, Parthale Paravasam (his 100th) all had extra-marital/pre-marital sexual affairs or and father marrying a young girland the Son marrying the mother of the the same girl. The climax will be left to the audience and KB thinks he is a genius by doing so. Its overhyped and not natural.
  
  KB is no way in comparison to MR or BR in portraying it naturally. He may have introduced big stars like Kamal, Rajini, Sridevi and a host of others and I am not denying it.
