What Caused ARR\'s Downfall...

I was really impressed when Roja came out and I kept looking out for such impressive release after that. But to date, so far non of his film has any impact of Roja. There may be some good ones along the way but that I can get it from other TFM MDs. It\'s really disappointing that he has never matched any song compared to Chinna Chinna Aasai. For the last 7 years or so I keep yearning but to no avail. So many of his albums are of mediocre level. I really would like to know what caused ARR\'s downfall?

1) Trying too much in other fields and ignoring Tamil films?
2) Trying to fuse in too much western pop/rock and making listeners irritated?
3) Trying to be both Mozart and Michael Jackson of India?
4) Using so many different singers and not having any identity?
5) Again infusing too many English words to make it more hype?
6) Concentrating alot on sound quality and not giving importance to musical quality?
7) Or just limited talent?

It\'s really heart-ching to see someone I used to like go down like that.

  THE QUESTION ITSELF IS KIDDING. ARR NEVER FALL DOWN. HE IS STILL NO.1 MUSIC DIRECTOR OF TAMIL AS WELL AS IN HINDI. NOBODY NEAR TO HIS COMPOSITIONS. HE IS OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AND HE IS PRODIGY.

  I don’t think ARR copies much.If we analyse the songs of each and every MD,there are inspirations.No one can deny that IR,ARR,MSV are inspired from foreign sources.So are the MD’s of other countries .
  My point is that if we see ARR songs,I can see nowhere that ARR actually lifted the tunes.Only on two or three songs the tune looked similar to some extent.
  Even if we see the sites like i2fs and mail-bag.com there we can find that only the beats may be similar but the tune will be entirely different.Eg:Iruvar piano piece---The piano piece is inspired,but the tune is different.The piano piece appears for only 30 sec.
  Then the beats from Indian”Telephone Mannipol”—here only the beats are similar.These things happen with the commercial loops in the free music libraries.
  These cannot be termed as copy because other MD’s are actually lifting the whole tune without dignity.(Eg—YSR,Deva,Sirpy)
  I don’t think ARR produces crap music.
  His KV,Boys,E20U18,KKS are all excellent albums—good in musical quality than any other albums in recent times.

  I hope the above pronouncement is not out of a sense of superiority or smugness.
  
  As a matter of fact it is no great observation, IMO, the 'truism' transcending music and having applicability to almost all areas of human endeavour -- all humans are equal but some or more equal (in talent) than others!

  the reason for his downfall is that his music is not everlasting. the songs would not last long. this is because he doesnt uses percussion instruments.
